Blacksmithing Cost Calculator

I developed a spreadsheet in excel for calculating the cost of every Northrend Blacksmithing plan according to your own server's auction house prices.



All you need to do is enter the prices (in gold) in the highlighted boxes for each mat listed. The formulas I made will take care of the rest.

All the patterns are listed in alphabetical order and are color coded by their item superiority. The Eternals are listed as decimals if the plan requires less than one whole eternal (.1 = 1 crystallized _____) The formula will take this into account to provide you with an exact price of what every crafted blacksmithing item is worth via AH price.

This can be used by everyone. Blacksmiths will find it useful for when they are pricing their goods to sell, or deciding which plans will cost the least for leveling skill points. Non-blacksmiths will find it most useful to calculate what an item is really worth to determine if it would be better to buy the raw mats or the completed item.

Note: You will need a 2003 or newer version of Excel to open this spreadsheet. Torrents/Warez are not allowed on this site, but if you want to know where to get a free version of Excel, contact me via MSN or AIM.

If you guys find this useful and worth the time to make it, I'll continue to make spreadsheets for the other crafted professions as well. Eventually you could have your own workbook of every crafted item to reference to to see if you're getting ripped off or not.
