Hello everyone, I thought I'd give you a heads up on a great farming tip for the next patch.
What am I talking about? Relics of Ulduar! (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42780)
These items are currently soulbound and only used for a few zone-specific potions and a vanity item. (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42780#currency-for)
When the next patch hits they will not be bound and they will be used for Sons of Hodir rep (the wotlk shoulder-enchant faction).
Sons of Hodir rep is rather hard to get right now and when the patch is released, the Relics of Ulduar will surely go for alot of gold on the AH.
If you haven't got my point yet, it's to farm alot of Relics of Ulduar and sell them on the AH when the patch hits (or use them for yourself to gain Sons of Hodir rep).
I've got 2 farm spots that I currently use -
-The Vrykul cave at 42,67 (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=30146), these mobs are neutral and really awesome for grinding. They gain an enrage buff from time to time but get stunned afterwards (exhaustion).
-The second place is an area which I only farm with my mage. It's at 24,60 and has 2 type of mobs, I rarely touch the flying Valkyrs there but I kill the ones on the ground (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29569).
You might concider this an exploit and I'm sure it's posted somewhere but the deal is that they have a buff which increases crit chance by 25%, crit damage by 50% and also crit damage taken by 50%. As a mage you can spellsteal it, and if you only kill that type of mobs they will keep buffing themselves (+50% crit damage buff on you and +50% crit damage taken on the mob = +100% crit damage) You can basically one shot every mob there if you're frost (+200% crit damage with talent and buff and +75% crit chance against a frozen target with talent and buff - frost nova and a frostbolt and they're done for).
Enjoy!![]()
