    Merrymake Title Guide (Alliance)

    Howdy everyone, figured it was time I stopped leeching and tried puting up a useful post. Unfortunately I'm horrible at finding exploits, so I figured I'd help save some people some time and post a guide to getting the Merrymaker achievement since it's only a month away. Please hold any flaming, this was simply to put all info for the achievement on one page, so there is some Copy and Pasting involved.

    The achievements required for the Merrymaker title are as follows:
    On Metzen! (Metzen the Reindeer - Quest - World of Warcraft)
    Scrooge (Scrooge - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    'Tis the Season ('Tis the Season - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Simply Abominable (Simply Abominable - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho's (Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho's - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    He Knows If You've Been Naughty (He Knows If You've Been Naughty - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    With a Little Helper from My Friends (With a Little Helper from My Friends - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Fa-la-la-la-Ogri'la (Fa-la-la-la-Ogri'la - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Crashin' & Thrashin' (Crashin' & Thrashin' - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Let it Snow (Let It Snow - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    The Winter Veil Gourmet (The Winter Veil Gourmet - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    A Frost Shake (A Frosty Shake - Achievement - World of Warcraft)

    Now for the breakdown of how to actually obtain each individual achievement...

    On Metzen! (Metzen the Reindeer - Quest - World of Warcraft)
    This is a nice and simple "go here and do this" kind of quest, you can pick it up from Wulmort Jinglepocket in IF. Metzen is both at 67,34 in Searing Gorge, and at 73,47 in Tanaris. both "guards" are around lvl 45. Simply run in, kill the guards if you want, and sprinkle the dust on him to complete the quest.

    Scrooge (Scrooge - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Simple quest, you can buy a snowball from Wulmort, or grab them from the mounds of snow. Just head to IF and toss one on King Magni Bronzebeard, located at 39,55.

    'Tis the Season ('Tis the Season - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    For this quest, you need to wear 3 pieces of seasonal clothing and eat some of Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake. According to WoW's event calendar, the following bosses will drop the hats this year:
    * Captain Skarloc (Escape from Durnholde Keep) - Red Winter Hat
    * Nethermancer Sepethrea (The Mechanar) - Red Winter Hat
    * High Botanist Freywinn (The Botanica) - Red Winter Hat
    * Grand Warlock Nethekurse (Shattered Halls) - Green Winter Hat
    * Grandmaster Vorpil (Shadow Labyrinth) - Green Winter Hat
    * Exarch Maladaar (Auchenai Crypts) - Green Winter Hat

    The other seasonal clothing, is either tailor crafted or leatherwork crafted. Following is the required mats for each:
    Red/Green Clothing
    * 4 Bolts of Runecloth
    * 1 Bolt Woolen cloth
    * 2 Red or Green Dye
    * 1 Rune Thread

    Winter Boots
    * 1 Copper Bar
    * 1 Bolt Woolen cloth
    * 4 Rugged Leather
    * 1 Rune Thread

    And finally, Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake can be obtained either through completing quests with Father Winter, or it is said to be a world drop as well... sadly it is BoP, so you have to get your own, no AH'ing it.

    Simply Abominable (Simply Abominable - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    This achievement isn't a single quest, it's actually a chain of quests, a short chain of 3 thankfully. The first is Stolen Winter Veil Treats, this quest begins at Wulmort and ends at the snow man at 35,72 in Alterac Mountains. You will then be given the quest, You're a Mean One..., which will have you hunt down and kill a level 36 Elite in this general area, be warned, he is often times camped by many groups. If/when you do manage to finally hunt him down and kill him, you will loot the stolen treats from him and return them to Wulmort. After turning in the treats, you are given the A Smoky Pastures' Thank You! quest, which is turned in at Father Winter, who's about 5 feet away from where you are now.

    Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho's (Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho's - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    *copy and pasted this from the site. You can get Mistletoe from "/kiss"ing the holiday revelers. Then just use the mistletoe on the listed npc's
    How to find the Brothers (Alliance only):

    1. Start at Goldshire. Brother Wilhelm (40.5, 65.2) is standing at the back entrance of the Blacksmith
    2. Ride to Stormwind's Cathedral
    3. Brother Kristoff (45.8, 38.7) stands next to the statue at the Cathedral Square
    4. Get inside the Cathedral
    5. Brother Benjamin (41.1, 28.6) is walking up and down behind the right pillars
    6. Brother Joshua (38.7, 26. is standing at the end of the corridor
    7. Brother Cassius (43.3, 26. is inside the right room
    8. Brother Crowley (41.0, 26.1) is at the entrance of the RIGHT catacombs. That's next to the entrance of the room Brother Cassius was.
    9. Take the Gryphon to Rebel Camp, Stranglethorn Vale
    10. Brother Nimetz (37.9, 3.6) is at the west side of the Rebel camp
    11. Take the Gryphon to Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale
    12. Take the Boat to Ratchet, The Barrens
    13. Take the Gryphon to Theramore, Dustwallow Marsh
    14. Brother Karman (67.3, 47.4) is supervising the Practicing Guards (Theramore Combat Dummies) - he's between the "A" and the "M" on the map. Right next to the entrance of the north-east building
    15. Take the Gryphon to Nijel's Point, Desolace
    16. Brother Anton (66.5, 7. is standing at the balcony of the Inn

    He Knows If You've Been Naughty (He Knows If You've Been Naughty - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    The presents will randomly appear from time to time underneath the trees in the major cities, just be there and open one up to complete this achievement.

    With a Little Helper from My Friends (With a Little Helper from My Friends - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Very similar to the R.O.I.D.S. rage achievement for Hallows End, you can be turned into a winter gnome by a machine outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge during the Christmas Event. You must get 50 honorable kills while in this form.

    Fa-la-la-la-Ogri'la (Fa-la-la-la-Ogri'la - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Another fairly self-explanatory quest, simply complete the Bomb them Again! daily in Ogri'la while your mount is a Reindeer. In previous years, the only way to get a Reindeer mount was to use Preserved Holly or Fresh Holly to transform your current mount. It appears that this year actual reindeer mounts will be available, although my guess is that they will be non-permanent with a limited duration like the broom mounts from Hallow's End.

    Crashin' & Thrashin' (Crashin' & Thrashin' - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    For this achievement, you need to crash your racer into 25 other racers. Simply enough as it sounds, but sadly it is fairly luck based on actually obtaining a racer. They are thought to come from Winter Veil gift boxes, like the ones under the trees.

    Let it Snow (Let It Snow - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    Another easy achievement, or at least from the way I see it... you can either hunt down the according people in a BG for the opposing faction, or major city for your own... or try it another way. That way is by getting together with a friend or 2, and making the corresponding characters and simply "tagging" each other. What I mean to say, and yes this is only availabe on PvE realms since you can't make characters on both factions on PvP realms, is that take your main character and run to the starting area for the horde, have your friend make the associated character with the right class and race, have him/her log in, you tag them, and then do the same for them. Rinse and repeat at each of the starting areas.

    The Winter Veil Gourmet (The Winter Veil Gourmet - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    You need to cook the following items, Gingerbread cookie, Egg Nog and Hot Apple Cider. Now the highest of these requires 325 cooking, so I hope you've already levelled your cooking skill. The following is a C&P of the required ingredients:
    Gingerbread Cookie ( Cooking 1 )
    1x Small Egg
    1x Holiday Spices

    Egg Nog ( Cooking 35 )
    1x Small Egg
    1x Ice Cold Milk
    1x Holiday Spirits
    1x Holiday Spices

    Hot Apple Cider ( Cooking 325 )
    1x Sparkling Apple Cider
    1x Holiday Spirits
    1x Holiday Spices

    Total mats needed :

    2x Small Egg
    3x Holiday Spices
    1x Sparkling Apple Cider
    2x Holiday Spirits
    1x Ice Cold Milk

    A Frost Shake (A Frosty Shake - Achievement - World of Warcraft)
    * /dance in dalaran with a snowman as a snowman
    Simple enough, in order to change into a snowman, you need to use a Snowman kit on yourself, it requires a snowball to use, but it's Bind on Use... so you can either get it from a gift, or buy one from another player or off the AH.

    Well, that does it... complete the above mentioned achievement and the Merrymaker title is yours. Thank you all and happy holidays!
