Private server guide(not sure if it has been made but i didnt see one)

This is my guide to how u can connect to private server's very easily.

Step 1:
installation
First you install wow, just get the cd's or you can find many versions on the web, but the cd is recommended.

Step 2:
Patches.
you will need theese and theyre basically upgrades for your game, depending on the server you want to play on you need specific patches, if you want to play on an 2.4.3 burning crusade server you need to upgrade to exactly pach 2.4.3, but if you want to play on an 3.0.3 wotlk server or an 3.0.2 seerver you will need to do the same, but if you want to play on an bc server(burning crusade) do not install wotlk(Wrath of the Lich King)

step 3:
finding an server.
when your finding an server to play on you will need a wevsite to check for servers i recommend xtremetop100 World of Warcraft top 100 - Private servers, Guides, Guilds, free servers.
but there is many more sites to pick from.
depending on your interests, you will need to either play on an instant 70 server or a funserver, or an blizzlike server which is like an blizz server except the levling rate is set higher, and lastly there is the high rates server which s almost like the blizz like server except everything is increased, stuff like exp gold drop rate and such.

for starting i recommend wow-caelum WoW Caelum - Where gaming meets heaven
it has an fun(instant 70 pvp server) an high rates server, and an wotlk server, all of theese with experienced and helpful GM's

Step 4:
Registration.
when you found the server you want to play on, you need to press the link on the site that says "register" and enter your requested username, requested password a couple of times, and then your e-mail adress.
after a few minutes you will have youre account.

Step 5:
Chaniging your realmlist.
when you do this step you enter your wow folder, usually located in c: -> Program files -> World of warcraft
and double clicks the realmlist.wtf and when it says that you dont have the program to run that, you choose the option that says: Choose a program from a list. and choose the notepad.
when you're in there edit where it says:

set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

and delete all of that and change your realmlist to :
set realmlist <the server realmlist that you got on the site>

and then you save that, and double click the file that says wow.exe
then you just enter your username and password.


AND YOU HAVE YOUR PRIVATE SERVER ACCOUNT

Eh, common knowledge, but some people may not know. First off, there is a section for emulation, which you can find by going to the forum index. Secondly, do not advertise servers anywhere except for the server advertisement board. Finally, welcome to MMOwned, and thank you for trying to contribute. Hopefully you will avoid the large amounts of the word 'repost.' =)
