Okay, my friend just tried this and she got instagibbed by the pack you have to clear. She's a very well-geared, skilled 80 resto druid. How did you handle the trash mobs? She had time to get off a roots, jump away from the rooted mob, moonfire, rejuv swiftmend and then died

the first pack was prophet x2 time lost thing and the giant lord thing the other mobs varied with scryers, most had the giant lord ones most had prophets

the smallest arakkoa group had a prophet and two time lost but it also had one of the charging birds that hits for 10k

She also says: "find out what he did about the giant f*** windserpent in the middle of the room that can't be rooted and hits noncrit for 6k"

Some trash is a bitch, I just keep HoTS up on my self, kill Prophets first, they fear, run away when they'fre a spirit - Windserpent, LoS it as much as possible.

First off thank you very much on the reminder on HSeth and the guide on how to solo it safely. +Rep

As stated in the OP...it takes a long time for the Eagle Spirit to lower Anzu's HP. So having uninterrupted time and patience is a must for this kind of boss farm.

Some Tips:

• It doesn't necessarily have to be Lifebloom spamming, keeping a Rejuvenation on the Eagle Spirit should be enough. The Eagle Spirit allows your HoT's a chance to double the duration, this seems to work best with Lifebloom or Rejuvenation so use that to your advantage.
  
  
• Feral definitely seems the easiest of the three trees to solo-clear the lefthand side of the room. Merely root the Talon Lord or Hibernate the Avian and go bear+beserk->mangle on the three and then take care of the remaining one as you usually would. Even the Windserpent isn't an issue in bear form. Just remember to switch back to caster gear for Eagle Spirit/Anzu. I'd say Restoration is probably one of the worst trees to try this in as you'll be overwhelmed quickly by the mob of 4. If you insist on going Resto, then I recommend bringing a Rogue friend along to help.
  
  
• As CareyBizzle stated it is very important once you get him down to the last 1-2% that you kill him quickly, otherwise he'll turn immune and summon a ton of adds and if the room isn't clear then you'll get another group to deal with as well. If you're doing this solo once at 2% just put a Regrowth on the Eagle Spirit and throw a Starfire at him followed by Wrath.

I have pitbull, and it tells the aprox HP of anzu, so you can see more exactly when starfire-moonfire or whatever.

I just use rejuvenation 15 seg (sometimes it ticks for 30sec) so having a timer for hot is nice.

I lost the hot on the eagle two times, eagle turn stone, but anzu dont evado or something, he remain damaged, i just put rejuv agiain, and continue.

when he was about 2k, I moonfire (anzu dont die insta) but the dot+300 form eagle finish anzu in 2 more sec, he didnt banish or call adds, but I couldnt loot, I dont know if this happen cuz i lost 2 times the hot on eagle o because the moonfire dont killingblow anzu (maybe the eagle 300dmg do the killing blow) I cant see the combat log cuz I relog to se if I can loot, but nop.
