How to handle beggars
Written by Mauk some of you know me as Pauk
Everyone knows them, those irritating beggars.
Your buying everything on AH on your main, then some random will spam you if they could have 1C for their mount.
But even on your bank alt you get whispered for money. Last week I was asked for 100g by a lvl 40. BAM! Welcome to the ignore list.
You have four different tactics to screw around with them;
1. Give them something to do for you, which you can make money on
(Not much, but you get something ). Ask what their professions are, if they have mining and he wants 5g, tell him to make you 4-5 stacks of copper ore(1g a stack) you trade him and after that you say he could've gotten double for those bars. Then put him in your ignore list so he wont spam you.
2. Let them search for a non-existing item, most beggars are noobs and don't know wowhead even exists, so let them search for a Pristine boar tusk that drops from the boar's outside ogrimmar. Say to them you know it for sure when they ask if you are sure it drops from them.
3. Trade the beggar but never never never press accept.
Now you have 2 options:
1:Say you have lag and trade again and press cancel, than say you have lag and do again etc. etc.
2:Make a cup of tea or go shopping, and look if he is still spamming you when you come back. (My personal record of letting a beggar spam me is 35 minutes)
4. This one is very common and has been posted before, but hey some people might not know it. Only works good as hunter in orgrimmar. Go with the beggar to the cenarion circle npc at the Flight Point Tower(He must be in your party). Go to your Rep screen and put "At War" with Cenarion Circle. Then put misdirection on the beggar (Make sure he is in range of the npc) and then shoot 3 arrows at the npc. And watch the beggar die (mostly they get it after 2 deaths)
5. (Good while being spammed while doing a group quest as/with a lock) Say to him that he will get his 5g, and that you will summon him. Another lvl 5 in the bone wastes is pretty fun.
