If you undercut by 1-2g, I'd say you'd get more people irked at you, because they either have to drop their price by 1-2g if they want theirs to sell before yours, or wait for yours to sell. If you undercut by 1c, then them undercutting you or waiting for yours to sell will still get them the same amount of profit. Personally I just have the whole process controlled by auctioneer, since I have a very large variety of items I post up, and I just have it undercut by 10c (unless they're too far below market price).

imo how much u can afford to undercut depends on the price of the item
goes more by percentage

Exactly!
You don't undercut an item worth 5g by 2 gold, but if its worth 2000 gold, then 2 gold is nothing.
