Zombie chest farming in Ramparts and more

So, I've been doing this for 4 hours, and I figure it's a good thing to share...

What is it: Easy chest farming in Ramparts and other instances with chests guarded by humanoids.

Works with: All classes
Best for: Rogues, blacksmiths, and engineers (to open locked chests)

Requires: The Plague!

Step 1: get the plague and go to Ramparts.

Step 2: Zombie up inside the instance and start puking on as many mobs as possible, especially the pack guarding the first chest next to the first boss.

Step 3: Corpse explode on any big pack of mobs you missed, or the boss and his two friends if you've not got him infected yet.

*Corpse exploding causes your death to both infect others and cost no durability.

Step 4: return to the instance. In your absence the zombies have begun eating the living, thinning them considerably and leaving only the non-humanoids alive. in Ramparts the only survivors on the first floor up to that chest should be the non-elite dogs. Kill or avoid the dogs.

Step 5: Attack one of the zombies and get re-plagued, kill that zombie.

Step 6: Take chest. 5G and a green or blue BOE, usually a potion as well.

Step 7: Zombie up and head up the ramp. Infect the top floor. Corpse explode to die.

Step 8: Rez, return to top floor, and kill a few dogs for the second chest.

This awards just over 10G and two BoEs (often blue) in 15 minutes. The Gold/hour isn't high enough to say this is a "ZOMG Awesome gold!!!" farming method, it is quite possibly the most fun I've had alone in game.

Tested with a 67 rogue and 70 mage, no problems doing this with either one.

Question for the OP, do you still get rep and/or exp for killing the mobs there? ty in advance

If they die by plague, no. If you kill them, yes. The dogs, for example, were giving XP.

Sad bit, killing mobs that are plagued causes their corpses to despawn instantly as they rise as zombies, so you can't loot them. =(

Rep, I assume, was as normal as well. Both my toons I tried with are honored or better, so I wouldn't get rep from normal mode anyway.
