This is a repost of an older thread of mine. I am reposting it because with WotLK coming out this trick will be very useful, especially for those leveling DKs.
If you're sick and tired of alt tabbing while trying to follow a leveling guide, whether it's Jame's, Joanna's, or Brian Kopp's, and you feel that it's slowing down your leveling pace, this little trick is for you.
It's really simple.
First download the UI mod NotesUNeed
Install it as instructed.
Now, open up whatever guide you'd like to use (duh). And go in-game.
Now for me, I don't see the UI mod's microbuttons, and if you're having the same problem, just type the following command in game:
/nun -g
This will bring up the General Note window, enter a name for your notes, then paste the section of the guide you're following into the window.
The UI mod can handle as many sections as you want, I like to subdivide them by level.
Now here's what makes this UI mod so great:
1) IT KEEPS YOUR ORIGINAL PAGE FORMATTING
This means that all the indentation and spacing pasted from the original
document will remain consistant.
2) It has a very useful search feature, which means you can go back to any level you want.
Just type /nun <search criteria> and voila, every note you have with your criteria in the title will be displayed.
Here is a screenshot to demonstrate the beauty of the mod:
Most leveling guides are in secured PDFs, but some are in HTML format, and some googling and searches on torrent sites will find you a way of unprotecting any PDF file.
