**SARTHARION THREE DRAKES (HEROIC) GUIDE**
This guide is aimed at people/guilds working on Sartharion with three drakes (S3D)
Raid Comp
A Death Knight makes the best Sarth. tank because of their cooldowns that are on a very short duration.
2 other tanks are needed, one for the drakes (class doesn't matter), and one for the adds (pref. a pally)
Classes that can AOE well are important for killing the adds throughout the fight.
One plate-wearer is needed to handle the disciples in the twilight realm, But a shaman or boomkin can be used.
6 Healers is the best because the extra dps you gain from it is much more important then another healer or two.
1-2 rogues are NECESSARY to dispel the Elemental's enrage. This is done by using anesthetic poison on both weapons and using fan of knives. Our rogues chose to have 2 sets of weapons, one with DPS poisons and one set with Dispel Poisons and swap them out when dpsing on drakes and dispelling.
Raid Position
The drakes are going to land on the platform at their respective spots.

Tenebron (the easiest one) lands first in the back of the platform. Then Shadron to the left, and Vesperon to the right.
Sarth. needs to be dragged to the bottom left corner at the start of the fight, with the tank standing right on the edge of the platform.
Tenebron should be picked up at the back of the platform as soon as he lands, with the raid nearby. After the first lava wave, it is then advisable to have the tank to move over to where Shadron spawns to pick him up fast. The same thing with Vesperon while Shadron is up, moving from the left side of the platform over to Vesperon's spawn on the right.
- STAY SPREAD OUT!!! Lava strikes hit for 13k and can easily gib a group of players, causing the raid to wipe.
Blaze/Welp Tank
A pally is highly recomended for this due to their awesome ability to tank multiple mobs. Make sure to have your tank stand on top of the portal and have a consecrate or some other ability ready to pick up all the whelps.
Tips for warriors: have your vigilance on someone getting hit often (the drake tank), as the refreshed taunts make it far easier. Save shockwave for whelps, freely use combat charge and intervene.
Drakes and Their Effects
Tenebron: +100% shadow damage taken
Shadron: +100% fire damage taken
Vesperon: -25% health
Disciple of Shadron(the guy in the portal):+50% fire damage
Disciple of Vesperon: Twilight Torment: 2-3k damage taken when you deal damage; +75% damage from Sartharion's breath
When Shadron and Vesperon are up your tank will be taking this from flame breath:
Base damage: 11k-14k
Power of Shadron: 22k-28k
Acolyte of Shadron: 33k-42k
Twilight Torment: 57k-74k
- To survive these attacks defensive tanking cooldowns along with pain suppression and guardian spirit must be used. You should set up a rotation for your healers to do so when it happens. If you are having trouble, a druid/boomkin can hurricane sarth (one of the exploits posted here) to reduce his attack/cast speed by 50% for more time tp react. Fire resist potions are also a nice addition to survive those nasty breaths.
Portals? Yeah Right
Tenebron: NEVER, its better to kill the whelps with the adds and you should only have to deal with one wave. If you are dealing with more than one wave of whelps, you don't have enough dps to do the fight.
Shadron: No. Heal through the damage. Though it can be done, it makes the fight longer, it is better to just heal through it. TAKE the portal after he is dead since Shadron's acolyte will still be up and a be danger to your tank.
Vesperon: Yes or No. The fight is over at this point after the first two drakes are dead, you might as well go kill him so the raid is taking less damage from his aura and there is even less of a chance to wipe.
Void Zones-The Silent Killer
TURN YOUR SPELL DETAIL DOWN TO LOW. This allows the Void Zones to show up clearly show up clearly with no interference from other AOE/Effects. DO THIS.
The Fight
- Tank pulls Sarth. over to his spot and stands at the edge of the platform to dodge the lava waves (by stepping into lave). DPS can lightly dps sarth, and melee should get in position at Tenebron's spawn because he drops in about 30 seconds.
- Tenebron spawns and the tank picks him up, at this time a lava wave should come: DPS and tank be ready. Paladins should put on Righteous Fury and stand on top of the Blaze/Whelp tank, to keep them from pulling to other healers around the platform. Whelps will spawn at about 50% or so and the Blaze tank must pick them up. DPS continues on Tenebron until he is dead, do not AOE until so.
- Shadron lands 45 seconds after Tenebron did. After Tenebron dies, all AoE kill the whelps and any lava spawns that are up. If heroism wasn't used on Tenebron, use it on Shadron. I would personally recomend using it on Shadron. Continue to DPS him and around 40% or so, if your dps is good, Vesperon should land.
- Vesperon, lands about 50 seconds after Shadron. This is the hardest part: Twighlight torment, two drakes on your tank, and 75k firebreaths are nothing to laugh at. Sarth's breath casts about every 12 to 30 seconds, and your tank needs a cooldown for each of these from himself or a healer. The two-second long cast gives you a window to react, but you need to have planned ahead of time who is going to use what when.
- After Shadron died we decided to not take Veperon's portals, so make sure to go into Shadron's last one after his death to kill the acolyte.
- Continue to Aoe the blazes when there are around 8-10 up (just a guess from my observations).
- After Vesperon dies the fight is basicly over. Just dont die to flame walls and be sure to not let the Blazes overwhelm you.
The hardest part of this fight is not dying to Flame Walls and Void Zones.
The tip again if you didn't catch it: Make people pay money for dying to them
Hope this helps those that are having trouble.
Enjoy
