Nope, ghost wolves were only tameable for two patches, possibly one, I forget.
I got real lucky with mine, it was real close to the patch release date. :/

You can't GET the ghost sabre anymore...

you CAN get the saber your thinking of the wolf which you cannot get oh and the sabers not a rare but is a spawned mob

from petopia Petopia: Ghost Saber (19-20 Spawned, Darkshore)

Ghost Sabers are randomly spawned from Cat Figurines in the Ruins of Mathystra in Darkshore. Cat Figurines are ground objects, like a chest, that look like white marble cat statues. You do not need to be on any particular quest or of any particular faction to open the figurines and spawn a Ghost Saber, but whether or not you get a Saber is random so you may need to open many figurines before one spawns. Note that the Ghost Saber will often die once, inexplicably, after it is first tamed. This appears to be related to its despawn timer in the wild.
You can also kill the spawned Ghost Saber for a chance to find a Glowing Cat Figurine that summons a Ghost Saber to fight for you for 10 minutes -- but taming the Ghost Saber to be your pet is much cooler, of course.

Yes you can, infact I tamed one 2 days ago that's currently level 35 (Tamed level 19)

nice guide... im just curious.... i stopped playin retail for a month now i think... i just want to know if Humar is still tameable? in private servers i cant tame humar... been hopping in diff pvt server looking for the ones that is not bugged.... or i cant tamed humar anymore?

Due to the change with MSD I don't beleive its possible to get Ghost WOLFS but the GHost Sabers from darkshore can still be aquired I think.
