Another spot I found..
For mote of waters, a good place is the lake east of Shat. Shimmerscale eels there have about a 20% drop rate on 1-2 motes, but they die in 2 hits. They also have a small chance drop motes of mana. This is a good place if you aren't 70 yet or the elemental plateau is too camped..Also, they aren't immune to frost.

Bump and a little extra for you to add.

The boulderfist ogres in Nargrand that you talk about charging warlocks even with pets have aggro, they charge whoever is the furthest from them. So if you're a warlock/hunter, stand closer than your pet and your pet will get stunned for 2 seconds. Then, you can back out to a better range and kill them.
