    [Guide] The Ultimate Password

Are you an obsessive paranoid like me and want a behemoth password 99.9% guess-proof and looks like a string encrypted by a computer, while remaining easier to remember than a phone number?

Now, I can't really think of a situation where you'd actually need the full version of this, except maybe if you have an extremely intelligent friend who keeps guessing your passwords right or are playing some hacking simulation (or just any game) with some sort of password guessing, but when I thought this up I thought it was a neat trick.

First, think of a phrase or something easy to remember, like the planets of our solar system.

Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune

Now, think of a rule to take out a letter from each word, for example, each first and last letter of each word, and that will be the content of your password:

    MYVSEHMSJRSNUSNE

Hard enough? Let's multi-layer this sucker.

Next, remember a second rule to put numbers in your password. Let's make it numbers descending from 9 after each planet name:

    MY9VS8EH7MS6JR5SN4US3NE2

And finally, remember a third rule to make your password case sensitive. Let's make it so every third letter is lower-cased:

    MY9vS8Eh7MS6jR5Sn4US3nE2

So all you have to remember is a phrase/list, and 1-3 rules (depending how advanced you want it):

    1. First and last letter of each planet name.
    2. While typing, after every planet comes a descending number starting at 9.
    3. Every third letter is lower-cased.

Now go win you some bets.

If you can remember it, you can throw people off your patterns by making a fourth rule to hide a trick:

    MY9vS8Eh7MS6jR5Sn4US3nE25

Keep in mind that this isn't practical for regular use, it's still a pain to type and not mess up, most sites don't allow that many characters to be in your password, and this doesn't protect you against crackers.

It's very similar to algorithms in some games that create multi-layered rock-solid encrypted savefiles.

I am somebody who can't remember numbers worth a crap, so tricks like this are extremely helpful to me because they make them into patterns, which I can remember just fine. If you're stumped on what your new password for say, World of Warcraft should be, you can use this trick to create a concrete-yet-simple password as well.

Here I use easy to remember patterns to encrypt my name into an easy-to-remember password:

    1O3R5O7

That is, second letter of each of my names with ascending numbers that skip a number.

By the way, don't try this trick with my account. I use a completely different system then what I wrote here.

too be honest, lower caces, uppercase numbers and above 10 characters, even Jesus12345 has the same safety as J3hs832hj as far as "cracking" is concerned (for example, the Jkain decrypter)

A good password system is one allowing the use of special characters.

    Example: l2q%"!pLE*

Yeah, my school password is something along those lines, hard to remember to begin with lol.
You need 2 special chars, 2 upper case chars, 2 lower case chars and a number + special chars of your own choice. Minimum 8 in length.

My school does something like that but it's randomly caps, normal and numbers
It used to be like 2 letters, 1 number, 2 letters, 1 number
now it's just ****ed up :P

Also about the post, if you want to have something relatively good, you can pick up your phone, chose a random word and look on the phone, this way you can remember it(just say in your head like the word and you'll remember the number maybe)(also if you forget the numbers, say the word in your head, pick up the phone and look it up!)
    Ex: AppleRocks = 2775376257
And you can add some letters Ex:AppleRocksMySocks 2775376257mysocks
    ^^

I'm sorry. You win Fail of the Month, but let's abbreviate it to FotM, no one will guess it.
