Veiled Noble Topaz/Pyrestone until you hit 202 then Reckless Noble/Pyrestone after. Gemming pure hit/spell damage is not very smart.

Exactly, I'll make them waste 300g+ on each gem on their pre kara gear which they are gonna replace the first time they do a 25 man.
You shouldn't switch to the pyrestones until bt/hyjal, but in ssc/tk most of them are still gonna be using the deep affliction specc(they should, atleast) which prefers the pure spelldamage gems.

If you notice I said Noble Topaz/Pyrestones . And full affliction does not prefer pure spell damage because Shadowbolt is still a major spell in ANY affliciton build.
