Dual Wield while Ele/Restro Spec. on Shaman

Pretty much common sense but for people who didn't think of it here ya go. Spec into Enhancement and get dual wield. Put the weapons on. Then respec to what you want and then you can dual wield while not the spec until you unequip the weapon.

Doesn't work , i am shaman.

When you respec , Your wpns will be Red (Broken) and you cannot attack and get stats from them.

I'm fairly sure that if you relog then it'll unequip it.

Tried that once. The offhand weapon got unequipped the moment I respecced.

you could try have full bags at the time

I had both my weapons in my hands when I respecced to elemental. I didn't logout or check to see of they where broken, but seeing the addons I had, I would be able to tell if they where broken (a red 0% on the weapon icon).

No, I respecced today on my shaman and saw i was still dual-wielding and the weapon wasnt broken for me. I didnt attack but 2 weapons equipped... none broken.. hell it should work then...

Well i did this a while back.. diden't check up with the stats, but the weapon stayed in my off-hand, but it diden't attack at all.. just like wearing nothing in my off-hand.

Yes it does work, I was enh for the weekend on my shaman but had to respec resto for SW -- after I unspec'd I have MV and Rising tide still equiped.. walked to the duel locaion in the Commons, dueled a warrior friend, and both of them were swinging. I didn't check my stats, really doesn't matter, it does lackluster damage and is just for show anyway.

edit: Relogging will take the Offhand off.. Once it comes off it wont come back till' you spec for duel weps.
