Obvious highest honor per hour is AV. Though you probably won't need marks from AV to get your items! Instead of just queueing for another BG and waiting for AV (queue's being 10+ minutes quite often) there is another way.

1: Queue for Alterac Valley
2: Go to the battlemaster of the BG where you want marks from.
3: Look at the list and find the lowest number BG (so if there is a WSG 1000 and a wsg 5, take 5).
4: Queue for this BG - not the "join first" as this is usually a new game.

The reason for this is that there are guaranteed to be player leaving for AV's and such in these older battlegrounds, giving you a higher chance of entering a started BG and obtaining a mark before AV comes out. This way you can get 1 or even 3 marks a few times before your AV for honor pops up.

Considering you'll be joining a really old AV, you would most likely only get honor from the win / lose, as all towers etc. already might've been destroyed etc

I never thought of joining an existing battleground, ever. But I see how it can be useful for mark grinding .

no u will get 0 if u enter tool late and lose for AV

but this is awesome ,becaues sometimes u will have to wait for a NEW round to LOSE to get ONE medallian

I never thought of joining an existing battleground, ever. But I see how it can be useful for mark grinding .

You should join AV as usual, not an old one, so once it pops up you'll just join it and get full honor and such. You should only use it for the other bgs for fast marking.
