Ok, so half of you who came into the thread probably came in here thinking it was another map of Nagrand with a path for using the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor. Well, it's not so you can postpone your flame posts for another couple of seconds while you read the rest of this!

Warning: This is semi-common sense.

This is not a 3000g/day thread, or anything of that sort, but more or less a little extra way to boost you income.

Ok, here's what it involves:

Zapthrottle Mote Extractor - Item - World of Warcraft

Except, your not using them to farm the motes (well, you might, but not with this) your selling them on the AH. On my server they go anywhere from 200-300 gold per extractor, while the total mat costs roughly only 150g if you buy them all off the AH.

If, however, you are a Herbalism who farms Motes of Life, this is a lot better way to get gold for your motes versus just selling them on your AH (unless primals/motes on your server are highly priced). Take away the cost of the motes and your making up to 250g profit for nearly no work!

The main reason this works, is because a lot of players in WoW don't like to do work, so going around and getting the mats and finding someone to make an arcanite bar is not to fun, and as such they probably have an influx of money anyways and are more then willing to spend it on this since they know they will make more then the cost back in motes/primals in a day of farming.


Again, this is not a crazy money maker but a steady way to keep some income. I usually sell one every 1-2 days. Which is not to bad.

well. I would say it's common knowledge that engineering and doing this would make money but hey. All tips are good tips in a way +rep from me.

Yeah, I'd also agree that it's common sense in a way... as in.. craft something, sell it on the AH, but a lot of people don't think about making more then 1 of these. If there's a high need you can make 500g a day if possible on your server.

A little addition that I forgot to mention:

If you do decide to do this, make sure you constantly scan the AH for Delicate Arcanite Converter - Item - World of Warcraft not only are they used for your own creations, but in keeping them off the AH it greatly increases your sales as it's one more step a lot of people rather not take. And some engineers flood the market with them using them from 285-300 to level up and can drop the prices making it more enticing for people.

If you can get ahold of Biznicks 247x148 Accurascope(drops from Attumen in kara, rare drop), you can do the same thing and get about 150g profit if you manage to buy mats for 350g, sell scope for 500g+, even more win maring if you can farm mats yourself. But then again there are only a few items you can sell for high profits as an engineer, and not necessarily a high demand. Still good post.

I think your thinking of the Stabilized Eternium Scope, the Accurascope was an old drop in MC and I do believe that it sells well as well but Lave Cores = nearly non existent.

The Stabilized Eternium Scope sells well as well, but the Zapthrottle is so much easier to get (simple quest, cheap mats) and cheaper, 150g if you buy all the mats compared to roughly 375 gold, they do yield about the same amount of profit though, and in essence making them both and controlling the market with them is the best way to go about doing it.
