I cant believe nobody has actually confirmed this yet!
If you play bg's now, you get a competitors tabard.
And Im not really sure if you need to wear the tabard or not, but when you win a bg you wil get mailed a gold medallion wich can be redeemed for the pet I believe. Atleast I'm seeing a lot of these pets following people around in shatt and orgri.
