This may be common sense, but a lot of people don't relies that white items are not bound to you. So to help make low levels go by a lot faster and easier what I have done, is enchant white items with higher level enchants.
I usually put a leg enchant kit on to a pair of white pants, then I can move those pants around between multiple characters.
I usually use these pants because they have the most armor out of any cloth, and that way what ever class char I make I can put them on it.

The 3 kits that I have on my 3 pairs of pants are just the regular blue crafted kits.

Cobrahide Leg Armor - Item - World of Warcraft
Mystic Spellthread - Spell - World of Warcraft
I use these pants on some of my chars til 40+. The 40 AP / 10 Crit isn't that great, I use it on my hunter, that is about it, the Spell Damage, and Agility ones are great last a long time because they give you so much health, gaining an extra 300 HP at level 1 is quite a nice buff.
I also have a white mace and dagger that I got from a vendor and put Fiery on them, it is great for the first 10 levels or so because when it procs, you will kill things very fast, and it seems to proc a lot.
Tried searching, couldn't find anything except a thread about making twinks, which also use these, but I think this is a great tool for starting a low level character.
