If you are new to 70 on a paladin, you will be forced to pick a raid spec, unless your a PvPer, either Tank or Heals. Today I'm going to talk about heals.

Professions:
Alchemy - This is a beauty to have in raids, you can supply elixers, if your low on mana you'll never run out of potions, and the best part, Alchemy Stone.
Since SSO has came out, a new line of Alchemists Stones have came out, Melee, Caster, Tanking, Healing. The mats are unbearable for these.
1x Alchemists Stone
2x Nether Vortex's (30 badges, or about 600g)
6x Primal Life
Enchanting - This is a very big pain to level, but once your at 375 you'll thank yourself you will get tips for clicking 3 things. But the main reason we will have it is for +healing ring enchant

which you can only do to yourself. Also you wont be going "/2 LF Chanter to do x! PST"

Okay now that we have to professions covered we will go on to basic raiding
add ons you'll need.
(Having trouble finding them? download WoWmatrix a program where you pick and choose addons - fast and easily. Find this at
World of Warcraft AddOns & Mods :: WoW 2.4 Latest Downloads!
Healbot - An addon where it lists your group/raid in a box (which you can move and customize) All you do is set the spells to Left Click, middle click, and right click.
Omen - A basic raiding threat meter
Group Calendar - This isn't really for paladins specifically but it will help you get into guild raids / heroics.
Decursive - A compact group of boxes you click on to get rid of pesky little Debuffs.
Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) - Another one non-paladin specific but it will help you lead/pay attention to raid bosses

Okay all that are new to 70, heres just a little tip to you
1. Join a good guild
2. Sign up for simple raids/heroics in group calendar
3. Non-Plate gear isn't always so bad for healers, as long as a mojority of your gear is plate.
4. Don't keep tank always at Full Hp, they have high HP for a reason.

Talents - Will add in July 15th.
