    Deathfrost..pallies?

    Some info I found on Deathfrost and pallys

    If you dont want to read through all of the info then you can just scroll down the bottom of the page, have a "final statement" there.

    Testing done by a Frost Mage;

    1. It can crit for 150 % dmg.
    2. Affected by SOME frost talent, as a full frost mage, it hits for 157-158, crit for 243-244 (with chaotic meta)
    3. Seems to have ~20sec cooldown
    4. Always proc from first few ice lance.
    5. Crit rate affected by spell crit rate.
    Deathfrost Facts;

    Can be refreshed by itself.
    Has no apparent internal CD for melee, apparently casters are getting a 20 second cd or so. (as of the moment that is what testers are reporting)
    The attack speed reduction of this enchant does not stack with Thunderclap.
    Does not work in feral forms
    Does not proc from hunter ranged attacks
    Can proc from Crusader Strike
    Can proc from Judgment of Command
    Can proc from Seal of Command
    Is Not a Magic Debuff
    Will destroy grounding totems.

    Need to find out average DPS for a retadin, then compare it to savagery, from there if it is > then savagery we will need to calculate it against mongoose and executioner.

    Do savagery first to save yourself some time if this enchant is a gimmick.

    Uptime looks like 40%? on a stand still target, but that's only from my observations.

    Calculations I've done show;

    25+27+8+9+8+10+2+6+4+2+1+1= 103 attacks that could proc it,

    Assuming 20% proc rate
    20.6 procs = 3090 damage from deathfrost. 1'55'' time. so 3090/115= 26.87dps assuming a 20% proc rate.

    Assuming 30% proc
    (highest reasonable proc rate) 30.9 procs = 4635 damage from deathfrost. 1'55'' time. so 4635/115= 40.30dps assuming a 30% proc rate.

    Test 1 showed;

    Test results from test 1;

    White attacks

    Time; 1578.57 seconds (26minutes~)
    Swings;479 (3.8 weapon speed)
    Number of Procs; 62

    Meaning the proc rate on the white attacks alone was 2.38461 (2.4 for easier math) per a minute. Assume some for parries as I did this by myself.

    No internal CD though, so lets take the chances and see what we get.

    15.789 white swings per a minute with a 3.8 weapon.
    2.4 procs per a minute on the white attacks. So the % chance was 8% or so per an attack? (I'm half asleep at the moment)

    EDIT: The end statement:
    1915 damage in 1'54'' = ~1k damage a minute from deathfrost
    5% of ? = 1k (roughly about what mongoose would give) 20k or so.

    161904(auto attack, socomm, CS damage) x .05(5%) = 8095.2 damage from mongoose.

    If your dps is greater then 333, then Mongoose > Deathfrost for dps

    Deathfrost seems to be no where close to mongoose in terms of dps.

    Isn't this just copy-paste from retpaladin.com?

    Yup, looks the same to me. You can atleast say where you got the information from instead of claiming it as your own.
