DISCLAIMER: Half credit I take, the other half goes to Blizzard.
So, you like to sneak in the shadows, whip out a silent blade, and about to silently assassinate an opponent...when a warrior in clanking armor is swinging his sword and suddenly dicapitates you. Hmm, noob? Follow this guide and you'll have better chances of not being decapitated by a warrior in clanking armor...
I.WARRIOR
Now, most of these battles revolve around a simple combo:Stealth + sap/gouge + other skills. With warrior, it's like that, although after sapping to catch him off guard you'll want to execute Expose Armor. Before stealthing though, you'll definately want to coat your weapons with Deadly Poison or Instant Poison. If the warrior manages to hamstring and rend you, make sure you have enough money for a funeral.
II. WARLOCK
If you get the approach right, warlocks can be pretty easy. If you find one, sap/gouge him, and be sure to coat your weapons.Use Kick and Gouge often to prevent him from casting Fear on you. If he does, your chance of dying increases greatly.
III.SHAMAN
This could be a little tricky. It is absolutely imperative that the shaman doesn't detect you. Open up with Garrote or Backstab, followed by a gouge or kick. If he lays totems down, this time you actually have to destroy it. Earthbind gives the shaman time to flee and hit you with spells. DAmage totems can be devastating during combat; if you are engaged with a warrior while taking 14 fire damage per 2 seconds, it's going to get messy.
IV.ROGUE
Now this is simply determind on who manages to garrote or backstab first. After that, you'll want to have crippling poison so the Rogue doesn't hop around or sprint. After that, continue with standard attacks, and skills such as expose armor and rupture.
V.PRIEST
Imagine the warlock being a lot weaker. Same as the Warlock, although you can imagine the Priest being with the main group. You'll want to bring some buds to help you. Garrote or backstab, then do kick and gouge to make sure he doesn't get a spell on you.
VI.PALADIN
A combined version of priest and warrior strategies, this battle is a little more complicated. You'll want to make sure the Paladin doesn't shield, it will give him a good edge over you. Open with your strongest backstab attack, and immediately land a kick or a gouge to prevent him from casting. If you use Gouge, run behind him and land another backstab. After that initial step, expose armor, rinse, repeat.
VII.MAGE
This is a slightly harder version of a warlock. Kick and Gouge are your best friends here, as they are imperative to stop the mage from casting Frost Nova. If he does, you'll lose massive amounts of health to spells, so keep some potions in case he does. Start with your strongest backstab attack, and kick/gouge. Gouging is a slightly better choice as it gives you time to run behind him to land another backstab.
VIII.HUNTER
Be sure your detect traps is working. If you're caught in a freeze trap, the battle will be over before it began. Beware the pet. Sap it so it gives you a 24 second window to attack the hunter. Do a gouge, then a backstab, then possibly a kick or expose armor. Lace your weapons with posion.
IX.DRUID
This battle can vary slightly, depending on what form the Druid takes. Caster druids follow the Mage procedure, make sure he doesn't entangle you. Bear form is slightly different. Expose is the first thing you want to do, then a gouge, and then follow up with a combination of point-awarding attacks finisihng with Eviscerate or Rupture.

Please note, as well, that this guide has been sitting in m Microsoft Word for little over a year, intended for a different website. I'm currently playing my Rogue more to get a hint on added skills, abilities, and talents. Excuse me if I do not name any excellent rogue skills, and please include suggestions in your feedback,
