What I use:
Egg Timer v2.1.0.0 as found in this thread:
http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...ms-go-afk.html
An AV
A 60+ horde character
My setup for my screen:
I run WoW in maximized windowed mode, so I can have my browser over the game window and view my chatlog in case I get any whispers and be able to see if I am flagged as idle (so far I have not been flagged idle at all here)
Now the spot is in the actual horde base, near the primalist which summons the Ice Lord. Now with the new AV, this is rarely ever used for turn-ins. So the odds of being found is slim to none.
Once inside here, there is a large slab of earth that extends out of the right side (right being if you viewed the entrance from the outside), which can easily conceal any horde character of any size. (Just set your character under the torch if need be even.)
Tip: Before running to the spot, kill 1 or 2 wolves along the way. This will give you some damage so it doesn't look like you are leeching too much.
Tip 2: If you are a hunter, use Aspect of the Beast to conceal yourself further. Rogue/druid use stealth. The usual.
Note: When in this spot you will receive a good amount of actual Honor Kills from the defenders who will be close by, but be sure not to draw too much attention to yourself if you choose to talk in bg chat.
Note 2: There is also the mine which is directly south of the AV starting cave, which if you are mid-60 and wish to receive some experience while getting honor as well as marks and reputation; simply grind these mobs. The exp is slow, but it's a 3 for one deal in the end. Though if you grind these for long, your damage will be high on the charts (mine is always the highest on my hunter) and with no HKs or KBs, you will easily get flagged as idle and you will need to get yourself killed and go and attack an Alliance attacking your base asap.
Note 3: Set the Egg Timer for 4 minutes as the thread I linked stated, click back into the screen after it goes off and press an action/movement button to keep yourself from going afk. Then restart the timer and go back to forum browsing/AIM chatting/video watching.
Good luck and happy AV weekend!
