Pally AoE grind lvl 30+

I hope you dont mind me adding to your guide, but when I saw this was a Prot Pally AoE grinding guide I had to lend my expertise twocents


After leveling(then selling) two prot pallys and AOE grinding my way to 70 (minus the instance leveling in OL), here are the level 35+ places that rock for pally aoe grinding.

Level 35-38: Duskwallow Marsh: Murlocs - No special abilites except snare... Have fun beating the little buggers into the ground.

Level 40-42: Ogres in Badlands - DUal wielding baddies. Makes redoubt and SoL sexy as hell.

Level 43-45: Murloc Cave in Swamp of Sorrows - Just avoid the level 50 caster "Swamp Talker"

Level 45-48: Pirates in Tanaris - If you dont know about these guys... You need to stop living real life and play wow a little more. They are great, you pick up the 4-5 quests that take place in that area and you have insta levels. I found it best to grind grind grind a few levels while doing the quests and when you are about to collapse from exhaustion( or shock from the quick xp you get) go hand in the quests and have hot seckz with your monitor.

I usually finish a few quests in tanaris that bring me to 49 or 50.

From there we are off to the Plaguelands. This is teh seckz spot. TEH SECKZ SPOT. Anyways.

50-52 - Sorrow Hill - Nothing special here, just kill the guys who poison first. They hit slower and the poison leeches mana.

52-54 - Felstone Field

54-OL You really need me to help you with FOUR more levels? C'mon.

Well in OL I usually just quest and Instance/Rep grind until 65-66.
Then its off to Death's Door.

66-70 - Blade's Edge Mountain - Deaths Door -
a. Deaths Might are the most abundant and they also cast MS...Making healing a bitch.
b. Death's Watch Mindflay...Kill them before the rest of the group if you end up pulling these.
Void Hounds do a Knock back.Try not to pull them and if you do kill them fast.
Technicians and Oversmiths. When you pull a techie you get and oversmith, when you pull an oversmith you get some techies. Kill the oversmith first, Stun him when he emotes his poisonous gas crap, and drop him.

Sorry for the gap in the levels, but I love the instances in OL and I am always in queue or in one when I can. If anyone has other spots to add, add them please.


Oh and one more thing. Make sure you have a fast one hander. When you get to Mara I suggest the Fist of Stone(Fist of Stone - Thottbot: World of Warcraft) from Landslide. It is very fast and returns mana on chance hit. I only use it because of the speed, helps with SoL.

For your shield, make sure you have a spike on it at all times. Make sure it is the latest and greatest for your level range. Believe me it will be easy pickins after that.

(Hint hint. In OL Grind Sporeggar rep as fast as possible to pick up the Petrified Lichen Guard[]Error. You only have to become honored with them and it is an awesome shield for AOE grinding.

This is a cool idea, but the things is...This wont be very good at 65+...The reason? With all even leveled mobs attacking you...After a bit, your gear will be owned to yelow or red

Yeah- Paladins have been doing this for a long time, just hit up youtube and type in paladin aoe, and you'll get tons of videos.

This is how a prot paladin farms at 70. It's no longer an idea, it's a viable way of farming.



My 2 cents, make sure you have shield spikes on at all times- Like the above said, and it really helps if they're fel shield spikes, those are the best aviable.

Also any gear that does damage on hit helps a ton. There's an epic shield that I believe does this, and if you can chunk out the change for it, it will help a lot.

Once you get holy shield you throw that up as soon as it's done with it's CD to as well.
