SI:7 has been investigating the disappearance of Nathanos Marris, the first and the last of the human ranger lords. His fate, it appears, was not a good one. This chain begins with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon in Stormwind Keep, and eventually culminates with a full-on raid in the Eastern Plaguelands.

The First and the Last (62)

After accepting Shaw's task, travel to Chillwind Point in the Western Plaguelands and talk to your contact, Flint Shadowmore.



The Eastern Plagues (62+)
Starts At: Flint Shadowmore - Chillwind Point (WP)
Zones: Eastern Plaguelands
Search the Eastern Plaguelands for clues to the Blightcaller and three missing SI:7 agents. The remains of three bodies, carrying SI:7 insignias, can be found near the Marris Stead towards the southwest corner of the zone. This quest is marked Elite, but can be completed easily without aggroing any of the guards in the area.

Return to Stormwind and inform Highlord Bolvar Fordragon of Nathanos' fate.


Order Must be Restored (62+ raid)
Starts At: Highlord Bolvar Fordragon - Stormwind Keep
Zones: Eastern Plaguelands

This final quest requires you to put together an army, return to the Marris Stead and defeat Nathanos the Blightcaller. Nathanos is a 62+ elite protected by 59+ elite dogs, and he summons a flood of skeletons after a few moments of combat, which makes it imperative that you drop him quickly. Complicating matters on PvE servers is the fact that attacking Nathanos flags you for PvP, which means the Horde can interfere with the fight if they happen to be around. Raid groups of 20 or more are common for this quest, making it one of the few non-instanced outdoor raids in World of Warcraft.

With Nathanos slain, return to Highlord Bolvar in Stormwind Keep to collect one of three rewards: the Gorewood Bow (32DPS bow), Stormrager (63DPS wand), or the Sacred Protector (2121 AC shield).
