Anachronos Kite Guide

I know several people know this kite, but there are others out there who do not know it. This is just something for fun. I did a search and found no post of this when the title automatic search came up.

Those who do not know..Anachronos is a dragon who stands outside of the Caverns of Time. He was used during the AQ days for rep rings. If you fight him, upon hitting 40% he will disappear saying it isn't his time.

This guy is fun to kite just for shits and giggles when going to release chaos on Orgrimmar and Xroads during an Alliance raid. You can do this kite as a Feral, Resto, Balance Druid easily. Other classes might need help on this, but not much.

I personally use my Prot paladin and just have someone toss me a hot while I kite. This kite however can take a long time but its worth the few moments you can get out of it.

So..lets start shall we?

---Starting the kite


This is the fellow. Hes a fun guy. Always willing to meet new people! If you never did any of the AQ stuff, you may be able to just ignore having to go into your Rep tab and placing Brood of Nozdormu. Either way, you need to place yourself with 'At war" for you to be able to attack him.


This is the kite path through tanaris..and of course common sense..straight through Shimmering Flats. However, getting him up the lift is where people question the kite.



Mobs are unable to take the lift, so you will have to take him up the Grimtotem post and through RFD's and out into the southern gold road. However, Anachronos can get stuck on the bridges and evade bug, so we sure to take wide turns of bring him straight onto the bridge.


Here is where you will want to go up the ramp. Then just follow the bridges to this point.

Of course, as soon as you hit The Barrens, its free sailing. If you are on a high Populated Server, I suggest taking him through XRoads. Especially if you are a paladin and can bubble while your healer runs out of range and out of combat. Lowbies can't help but attack something that is being kited and he can just run through XR killing a bunch of people. Its highly fun as well when alliance are attacking and decide to join in.



Anyway, when you head towards Durotar, you have to cross the bridge with him. He cannot cross water. He will evade bug and then all that time you just spent got you up the butt.

Once in Durotar, the simple whatever way you want to go is good. I always take him along the river as its faster.


Of course you can take him either the back door or front door. Front door makes him more visable faster. Thus more people will attack him and get on his hit list.

The good thing about doing this as a paladin is Ding the healer once you see him stacked with dots. Then..just sit and watch

See! I knew some people didn't know about it! Mainly the lift part.

But as I stated, careful going through the bridges. He can get stuck and evade bug on ya.

Take off your weapons and unarmed punch him in the face while walking backwards. Have someone hot you.

Thats how a warrior can kite it. Don't always need to be ranged.
