[Guide] Ultimate STV twink/70 fishing guide!!!

Ok i now there are a few other posts like this but this is my post and i think it will help alot so far i have won.

- 3 Hats
- 2 Boots
- 4 Lines.

Ok prepartion.

To fish in BB or STV you need to have 150 fishing minimum BUT since patch 2.3 you can now get to 225 by going to the fishing trainer at the lowest bit off BB he sell its for about 1 g and its a book called [The bass and you].

Buy [Strong fishing pole] You can buy it off any fishing vendor in a city.Strong Fishing Pole - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
Next buy [Aquadynamic Fish Attractor] This adds 100+ fishing to your rod stack up 20 of these minimum, They are sold in sets of 3 at a fishing vendor but are limited, Your best bet is to go to a engineer to make you loads, Aquadynamic Fish Attractor - Thottbot: World of Warcraft

Also a new thing a hidden gem :P is [Captain Rumsey's Lager] Its a recipe drop from fishing daily so a few ppl will have it just advertise in trade you want to buy them and the ppl shud flood in, This drink adds 10 fishing for 3 mins and cost about 16-30 silver to make :O so go for it its worth it u need 360 for the whole contest but if ur server is busy ull only get through about 300.

I also stack about 20 swiftness potion's and around 20 swim peed pots, Swiftness potion's are 50% good from running away from mobs, Now swim speed pots offer 100% increase in water very useful for beating ppl to a pool ^^. Swiftness pots sell fro about 1g each but can be made cheaper, and swim speed pots about the same.

Ok next there is a permannent line attachment [High Test Eternium Fishing Line] it is got from finding a rare fish and swapping it in at BB then you "enchant" your pole with it it doesnt make it BoP so you may get lucky and find it on AH.

For 70's you need 2 riding on gloves, riding crop and carrot on a stick this will amount to 15% more mount speed, Which is alot.

Ok it starts at 2 PM server time and end's at 4PM every sunday but i would be there in BB at 1:50 for 70's defintly [SET YOUR HEARTH TO BB] this is the most important thing if you dont do it you may aswell give up, I always start at


If u stay very close to the edge all the mobs are crabs that are neutral and wont attack unless you do apart from gorlash the elite, thats wat the swiftness pots are for

Then as a twink i just stalk that cost, as a 70 you need to start there then work your way down then go round to the other cost if done right you can get about 20 fishes on the first coast, Never stop fishing about 10 mins b4 the end of the compo as i proved i fished the hat that i needed in the last 30 seconds of the comp, so never give up thats all the advice i can give.

Quick question. I'm going to do this today on a level 17 that I am twinking. How many mobs are around the area that you have placed on the map for twinks to fish at?

Well most of the mobs if you stay near the edge are yellow so wont attack you thats the beauty of it

What are your thoughts on Yojamba Isle for twinks? It is quite a distance from BB but as long as you set your HS to BB then there should be no problem? Or is that place deadly these days because of the amount of twinks around trying to get the hat and boots.

The fish spawn rate on that island is shocking dont go there..
