Think of it this way.

Sure, it's not neccessary to tip, BUT, did the waitress say that tips are appreciated? NO! It's common sence that tipping is appreciated, aswell as rep here is appreciated. It's still against the rules to ask for it, which you are.

Actually, it's spelled "aswell" and not "as well".
And if we're gonna be picky, you spelled "your very ignorant" incorrect. It's spelled "you're" and not "your".

Same thing in "your welcome" is supposed to be "you're welcome".
