Edit: Mark of the Wild can't increase Holy resistance. If something doesn't exist, then it can't be upped.

In SSC Lurker trash the naga priests and in kaethas fight the mace do holy nova. If you have SCT (scrolling combat text) or anything simillar you will see that you get a few of the hits parcialy resisted ie. 1234 (30 resisted).

It's the same with spell haste pre 2.3. You had spell haste but you couldn't see it on the character screen.

You always have a chance to partially resist any spell without increasing your resistance (well, any spell that can be partially resisted --- some can only be resisted or hit).

Just because you have the chance to resist it, does not mean there is holy resist in the game.

There used to be, a while back. There were holy resist potions, and the like. There isn't any longer. I think there's now "holy protection" potions which absorb holy damage, since they changed all the old resistance pots. It would be interesting if someone would test if MotW still invisibly affects holy resistance. I'd do it, but I have no idea how.
