Mote Farming:

Primal Mana:

Primal Mana is defiantly a viable farming option.

1) First accept the quest Intercepting the Mana Cells (quest in shat at the portal to the sunwell isle)
2)Then head to http://thottbot.com/c22244/z3522/b
3)Kill the ethereal until you receive a Bash'ir Phasing Device
4)Use the phasing device
5)Lo and behold lots of Phase Wyrms will appear
6)Farm these bad boys.

This nets me an AVERAGE of 10 primal mana an hour. The Phase wyrms have a whopping 50% drop rate.

Primal Water:

There are 2 great ways to farm primal water. Both netting a very decent amount of cash.

The first is in skettis (Creature: Skettis Surger - Thottbot: World of Warcraft). These guys have a 50% chance to drop motes.

The second is via fishing:

3)You will be looking for 3 different pools there are Bluefish School, Mudfish School and Pure Water. (you will need to fish all 3 pools)

There are about 30 pools in the areas mentioned above. Once fished they respawn immediately. The pure water pools have a 90% chance to drop rate and I net about 3-4 primal waters an hour as well as A LOT of bluefish and mudfish which can be cooked into nice +stat food witch goes for 15-30g on AH.

Primal Life:

Primal life is my favorite mote to farm. (requires herbalism)

1)Head to skettis
2)Seek out the Talonsworn Forest-Rager (http://thottbot.com/c23029/z3519/b)
3)There are a total of 4 and this is the path I follow to kill them. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...rForestbig.jpg
4)They can be tricky to kill but I kill them in about 2 minutes on my green/blue geared affliction lock. (they respawn faster then you can kill if you are the only 1 farming)
5)Loot them then herb them.

I net between 8-12 (depending on whether I get them to myself) primal life an hour. I also get quite a few stacks of herbs (Dreaming Glory, Mana Thistles, Felweed, Ancient Lichen and Terocone). Generally 2 stacks dreaming glory 1-2 stacks mana thistle 2 stacks of terocone and 1 stack of ancient lichen per hour.

Each kill I get 3-5 mote of life and 4-8 herbs. I also get 2 stacks of razor thorns and a few hypnotic flowers as well as various greens and greys. This normally vendors for about 10-20g.

Primal Fire:


I am not a great fan of primal fire farming however you can net a nice amount of gold via farming them at blades edge mountain off the searing elementals (Creature: Searing Elemental - Thottbot: World of Warcraft) or the Fel Sparks in Hellfire Penisula (http://thottbot.com/c22323/z3483/b)

Tavarok:


Stealth running Tavarok as a miner can be very rewarding. You will need 2 druids or a druid and rogue to pull this off. He is found in the mana tombs and when mined will reward 5-6 Adamantite ores, 3 Green Gems and a Greater Planar Essence.

I will update more info on farming this guy once I have finished experimenting with it.

Stratholme Farming:

This can be done 2 ways EFFECTIVELY (you can farm other ways but it is not where near as good).

The First is as a stealther:

1)Enter Stratholme via side door.

3)If you want to kill baron and ramstien you need to kill the people inside the places behind the first 3 bosses.

After killing Magistrate Barthilias you have to kill a lot of elite abdominations witch are pretty tough with no downtime. Then ramstien then an AOE of a lot of undeads. So you will need reasonable gear. Baron is also quite tough. I will be releasing a video guide of how to do this on a druid.

Once you have finished DE everything. I can do full run in 25 minutes and do 2 an hour. This rewards me 20 Large Brilliant Shard, 1-5 greater eternal essence, and 4-8 dream dust. This generally goes for about 200g all up so that’s 200/hour.

You can make more money via just the first 4 bosses however you don’t get a chance at the mount =P


Dailies Guide:

1)Start at Shattrath city and get the quests Maintaining The Sunwell Portal, The Multiphase Survey, Sunfury Attack Plans.
2) Go through the sunwell portal and accept every quest on the isle. Complete them all.
3)Use the Dalaran scroll of teleportation to return to shattrath city.
4)Head to skettis and do the skettis dailies.
5)Head to Shadowmoon valley and do the quest Ata'mal Armaments, Picking up the pieces, and dragons are the least of our problems. Accept the quest disrupting the twilight portal.
6)Cut across the twisting nether to the throne of Kil’Jaedan and complete the 2 dailies there.
7)Cut across the twisting nether to mana forge B’naar and kill the belfs there for the quest Sunfury Attack Plans.
Head to blades edge mountain and do Maintaining the sunwell portal then complete the orgrilia dailies.
9)Head to nagrand and complete disrupting the twilight portal and the multiphase survey.
10)Head to shattrath turn in quests.
11)Go to sunwell isle and turn in quest Ata'mal Armaments hearth to shattrath.
12)Head to shadowmoon and turn in disrupting the twilight portal.

Expect this guide to upgrade significantly over the next couple of days. With way more maps and co-ord for the dailie guide as well as AH tricks and many more grinding tricks.

Another option for those less geared, and possibly even still leveling but capable of a decent kill/hr rate would be the bloodelves at manaforge B'naar in netherstorm.

67-69 mobs that drop sunfury signets, which after a while, tend to be sold quite effectively on the AH

you also get the following:

about a 24s/mob avg (or at least i did, the addon i use is outdated however, could be wrong here)
a asston of netherweave to sell/use
arcane tomes (15-20g on my server)
plenty of gray/green to sell

being S2 geared completely (haven't got around to S3 stuff yet since i was more occupied with school at the time) i tear through these mobs in about 4-5 hits each as a ShStep hemo rogue.
