I think elemental is faster for leveling, not enchancement. At least if you like aoe-grinding. Can do most quests with only 2 pulls if there's enough mobs around. Combine this with heirloom trinkets and you will never run out of mana.

All you need is talents and glyphs which improves fire nova and chain lightning. In combats, spam fire nova (3sec cooldown!) and chain lightning and you're done and you will ALWAYS be 1st in DPS meters. At least my shammy's gear score is 3000 ish and I often outdps people with 5000 gs too! Single boss fights are different story though 8<

Dont forget to use (talented) earthbind totem if you just pulled 20 mobs since ele shammies cant tank that well Healing stream helps if you're getting lots of hits. Works in raids too, at least during fights with 3+ mobs Enchancement falls behind everytime, and so does other classes.

Oh, and magma totem is the totem you want to use in every fight, except wrath is better for single elites.

Avoid mp5 gear and stick to +sp gear.
