Latest Joanas Level Guide For Patch 2.4.2

I had the same problem as the above posters, nothing showing up in the "Notebook" when clicking on it. After fiddling with it for awhile I got it to work. Try this:

1. Go to Cursed.com and download Metamap from there.
2. Extract it to the desktop and if it's just 1 folder that says "Metamap" open it up and see if it has around 11 folders with Metamapxxx ( xxx's replaced by some letters).
3. Copy ( or cut ) those 11 folders and place them into your Addon folder in your World of Warcraft Directory.
4. Extract the other files ( the lua.bak files ) and place them into your WTF > Account > "Account Name" > SavedVariables .
5. Start up WoW enter your info and make sure when your character appears to click on "Add On's" in the bottom left corner and make sure everything is loaded.
6. Enjoy If that doesn't work then you can either PM or post here and I'll try to help.

Thank you for the great addon and guide. Though, I was kind of somewhat disappointed that it doesn't have the nice "Waypoint" features like the new Brian Kopp's guide has. It's basically the actual guide word for word in the game but the only problem is it doesn't have waypoints directing you where to go. If it says something along the lines of "Kill X mob to recieve X item" unless you already know where the mobs are located you'd have to Alt Tab out and look on Joana's PDF guide and look at the map to figure out where to go.

Any idea if there is going to be an update to show waypoints of where to go?

prob never update for waypoints, best advice is simply to get questhelper with this.

realized its because there are no quest notes at all in any of the lua files.. even the file joana makes you put on from her site, doesnt even have the guide in metamap notes, simply coords :/

O.k. I think your problem is the files you are putting in your WTF folder. I downloaded from the 3rd link posted and only received 2 files to put in there. If that's the case then I know what your problem is and I'll be able to help!

kk that's your problem.

So! Now try this

1)Go to cursed gaming and d/l'ed Metamaps. Place in your AddOns folder.
2) I'm not trying to ruin the OPs post but try going Here and downloading the file.
3)Now once you download that extract the JoanasInGameGuidePewPewBoom on to your desktop.
4) DO NOT USE THE METAMAP FOLDER IN THAT FOLDER BECAUSE IT IS MISSING A METAMAP FILE THAT YOU CAN GET OFF OF Cursed.com
5) Extract all the files in the "Add This To the WTF Folder" into the WTF > Account > "Account Name" > SavedVariables. Make sure you don't have the actual FOLDER in there but the files IN THE FOLDER in the SavedVariables folder.
6) Load up WoW and click addons and load all outdated addons.
7) Click the new button on your minimap and and load the note book.

Now that should do it.

Also, MabusPwns made a great suggestion. Since there are no waypoints in the actual In-Game addon and it's just basically THE EXACT GUIDE in WordPad form in the game, then use QuestHelper to do the quests in the order Joana's Provided and you'll be 70 in no time
