This is going to sound retarded, but I dont do the arena system much, and I've never actually heard of "selling arena points".

How exactly does one do that?

You play 7 games in your arena team,
then you invite the buyer to your team and play 3 games with the him. (You will most likely loose)
He will get 30% played and will get the points.
With my method, you don't lose rating and you don't need any skill :P

Bullshit! If 1 or more join the game you will lose rating, but if you don't join you won't loose anything.

Come 2.4.2 you won't be able to do that anymore either.

• If a team does not enter an arena match that is starting they will lose points equal to the amount that would have been deducted if they had played and lost.

This change makes it less viable to participate in illegitimate team match-ups by requiring every game be played; not just those that are against a team's desired opponent.

If you play in off-hours it's still almost 100% chance that you get in the same game.
It will slow down wintrading, but it will still work.

The second one though, was posted a couple of hours after mine.

Condensed version of guide:
1. Buy 2 5v5 arena teams with ~2k rating, this will cost you around 1-2k gold.

a 2000 5v5 will cost around 5000G *each*

3. Announce in trade chat: Selling ~1000 arena points, 700g. You will get a lot of whispers. You can get max 18 people.

you will not get a lot of whispers, cause if you are on a server big enough that ppl sell teams, you will also have MANY competitors. getting 8 customers at same time is extremely difficult. avg price: 500G for 950+ pts.

4. patch 2.4.2 is as early as next Tue, this strategy becomes worthless.

5. Season 4 starts soon, your 2 teams are reset to 1500.

6. ???

7. you dont profit.

But overall, just a tip, try search on diffrent stuffs, have imagination...

The problem with this, though, is that win trading is not allowed.

As confirmed by senior GMs, win trading is not only investigated by reports, but Account Administration actively hunts down teams that are win trading.

Strange. I just bought one 2k rated for 1200g and another one for 1k.
It's extremely rare that anyone sells points/teams on my server.
There's no competition at all. I said that i wanted to sell 1k points in trade and i got at least 10 whispers instantly...
