Firstly this is not my method, I found out how to do this in Eduuu's thread
:http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...pic-noobs.html
Using this method I leveled an alt to 55 in order to test this and have some fun, Iâm
looking forward to doing 55-70 when I get some more favors to call in. As a note Iâd like
to add that everything in this guide is based off of what I did personally so there are many
other classes and instances that work.
Table of Contents
1.0 Class Choice
2.0 1-55 Method
2.1 Required roles
2.2 Steps of the method
2.3 Instances by Level
1.0 - Class Choice: Alt
Pick a class that you would like to get to 70 and then go with it, if youâre calling in a lot
of favors for this you may want to pick a class that you view as harder to level. For this I
choose a mage so that I could have a decent farming alt as I'm a healer.
2.0 - The 1-55 Instance method
This method is basically gather a mass amount of mobs and then carefully AoE them
down in order to get mass XP per kill for the alt.
2.1 â Required Roles
Role 1: Herder - One or more people who gather up the mobs
Resto Shaman: Earth Shield + Earth Bind
Resto Druid: High HoT
Holy Paladin: Holy shock and good mitigation
All three of these classes can run through large amounts of mobs and keep themselves
healed very efficiently.
Role 2: Assitant AoE first 80% In group AoE that gets mobs down to 20%
Any spec of paladin is my favorite for this due to the consistency of consecrate in equally
bringing mobs down. A blizzard mage with no points in frostbite is good for this
(frostbite makes the AoE too uneven).
Role 3: Finisher - AoE last 20% Out of group AoE that kills mobs
This player is timed so someone who can kill everything quickly is best, also due to the
quantity of mobs he should be prepared to use instant cast AoE or keep the mobs at bay
to do casting.
2.2 - Steps of the Method
Step 1: The pull
The most important aspect of the pull is that you should not tag any of the mobs. This
means no damaging the mobs before they come back, also notable is effects like the stone
claw totem's proc that tag a mob without doing damage. Finding a method to survive
pulling a large number of mobs makes it faster but the method can be done with smaller
pulls just fine if you don't know anyone who can.
Once the herder has got as many mobs as they are comfortable with they should take the
mobs to the instance portal. During the pull all non herders should be waiting at the
portal. Various dungeons have different challenges to the herder so you should look
through comments on the dungeons before hand.
Step 2: The Transition
This step begins once everyone and a huge pack of mobs are at the instance portals. All
non assistants should leave the group in a hurry a macro with â/script LeaveParty()â in it
will help you all quickly leave close to each other, speed in the transition is very
important if you are doing huge pulls.
Important Note: as soon as the transition begins you have approximately 1 minute and 3
seconds to complete steps 3 and 4 or else everyone but the assistants and the alt will get
ported.
Step 3: AoE to 20%
This step is done by the assistant who is still in the group with the alt. There may be
multiple assistants if needed. To complete this phase steadily AoE the mobs until they
are at 20% or less, if some heal then ignore their health. Some pulls especially later on
will have mobs with a large gap in health, practice balancing it in a way that the alt gets
the most EXP. Once the mobs have reached this point have the Finisher do 1 very small
AoE, we used frost nova, in order to make sure the mobs donât go after the alt when you
leave. Once that is done exit the instance.
Step 4: Finish off the mobs
Possibly the simplest step if it werenât for the 1 minute timer you have to complete Step 3
and 4. As soon as the Assistant has left the instance you begin AoE in order to kill all of
the mobs with a class like a mage this step will usually only last 5-10 seconds. Any class
that can beat the timer while AoEing wil work though.
Step 5: Repetition
Once the mobs are dead and your bathing in the glory of your newfound exp have the alt
begin looting while the herder goes to get another load. Repeat steps 1-4 until there are
not enough mobs left to warrant a pull and then leave the instance with everyone to reset.
2.3 â Instances by Level
This is a list of how I got every level between 1 and 55, this are by no means the only
instance combinations possible, but rather the ones I tested that worked well.
1-10: Solo Questing
By no means fun or exciting but weâve all done it more times then we would like to count
so whatâs so bad about one more?
10-15: Deamines
Oh hurray the first instance. The most exciting thing about the deadmines is there are no
kickers so that with 100% resist to pushback you can spam heal yourself. The deadmines
is unique in that it has 2 instance portals. To get large pulls have your herder kill the
bosses as they go so that they can keep getting more mobs.
Pull method used: 2 Pulls
Pull 1: Go until you have the smelting room goblins and then come back, small threat of
slow from goblins and chance of a lot of âarmor stacking leading to more damage taken.
After goblins are gather go back to instance portal.
Pull 2: have everyone follow at a distance this time with non herders keeping back and
protecting the alt. Pull all the way through the boat (get the top if you feel you can) and
then take them all to the backdoor instance portal. No real threat from this pull except
trying to keep the alt alive if the herder missed something.
15-26: Stockades
My personal least favorite as all the pulls will have varied amounts of stuns and kicks
making casting a heal impossible, and stuns increase the amount of time you have to take
damage while slowly making your way back.
Pull method used: 3 pulls
Pull 1: main hallway
Pull 2: left side â skip the boss at end of pull
Pull 3: right side
26-40: Scarlet Monastery Armory/Cath
This place is amazing both the armory and cathedral can be one pulled if you have more
then 2 people helping. First zone so far to have healers, not to annoying just get the rest
to 20% and blow it all up. All these pulls are similar no matter how many you pull, just
that smaller pulls will be easier. As quoted by Tseric on the WoW forums you may only
enter 4 instances per hour which is why we do armory and cathedral as when you doth
both and then reset it only counts as 1/4
Pull method used: 1 pull
Armory: run up to the door before boss and then run back.
Cathedral: run without aggroing to the main door into the cathedral and open it, if you got
agro kill it in order to open doors. Pull the boss and run as everything else will come
with automatically, stand at the stop of waterfall and wait to get as many as you can
grouped close to minimize transition before jumping off.
Alternative methods
Armory: pull up to where you think you can run back, rinse and repeat until cleared
Cathedral: pull the outside, then the right side inside, and then the boss.
40-55: BRD
BRD is a great place to level because its fairly easy to get pulls together, if you are a
group of blues/low epic 70s you will probally need 3 non altâs in order to do these pulls
well. Due to 4 instance per hour rule we decided to shoot for the most pulls we could
handle in 20 minutes and then reset so we wouldnât have to go long distances to pull.
Note: in BRD we had a 4th role which was a healer, he also left the group when the non-
assistant did so that we wouldnât die.
Pull method used: 20 minutes
Pull 1 main room, when AoEing to 20% ignore the dogâs health.
Pull 2 Prison loop go all the way through and come back can be 2 pulls if you canât do it in one.
Pull 3 Loop past the arena all the way back around, also can be 2 pulls.
Pull 4 for the efficient who havenât hit 20 minutes go left of where you zone in through
the gates and pull as many as you would like, they tend to have more healers and thus are
very annoying to kill sometimes.
