It's a cool idea in premise, the problem is that every account is allowed what GM's will call "mulligans". Although they will never tell you how many item/character/pet restorations you are allowed to have (because its not noted in the TOS) the usual guideline is 3 mulligans (sometimes 4 in extenuating circumstances) within a 6 month period AND they can see when your last ticket was and what it was about.

I'm sure it's cool if there's one or two pieces you need but space the tickets out a bit and if you go for a whole set, remember that "Defrauding a GM" IS in the the TOS and will get you a 72 hour ban and marks against your account that if banned again can result in account termination.

    An Additional Note:

surely you could do this with Gold as well.

Just say to a GM you misclicked to buy it, get your stuff back, and get it again?

The odds that GM's will restore gold is rare.. exceptions are account restorations that were stolen/hacked and it used to be given back in the event that a player was scammed (don't know if that's still the case). According to the Restoration Policy, items are usually restored based on class development.

I'm a forum n00b so I can't post the link, but you all know where to find the TOS for Restoration

they will or can only restore items that you bought just before you have made a ticket.

besides that NEVER EVER say that you are missing something and you are sure you never deleted it.. then they will temp ban your account for investigation if there was a hacker on your account.

okay, so i havn't actually tried the exact same thing, but!
i have asked GMs several times to swap my items, useally bought vengeful gloves, and the 6 day that i've had them, i asked to get arena points so that i could buy retribution for instance (you can only swap if you have has the item for 7 or less days) id just buy the holy again, but my garuntee would be resettet!
so when i had 'bout 3k arena points i bought gloves and legs for instance, and after 6 days i would swap again and again,.
