Rogues will probably still have 100 energy (or 120 max with talents and set bonus) in wotlk, so this trinket will probably not be as good as it is now, but it will still be a decent burst damage trinket in wotlk

Technically Renataki's already got nerfed when TBC came out, 40 energy is not a HUGE help, however, will it give you an advantage? Of course it will, any little bit of help is an advantage. When utilized properly it can give the rogue an extra mut. during a full duration KS, you just need to make sure you are ready to counter it.

Renataki is good, but already nerfed from 100 energy to 40. I stick to my PvP 40 criticalstrike rating trinket ;p

lvl 70 or lvl 90, the value of 40 energy is exactly the same. if 60-70 didnt make it worthless, why would 70-80?

WotLK is still pre-alpha. BC was pre-alpha during patch 1.10, 1.10-1.12(when beta came out, or so) was around 3 months. I think we can expect WotLK sometime around February since it is planned to be larger than TBC and they want more people to reach end game.
