This area still has some usefullness. Let's just say your'e at lvl 70 and youve been meaning to upgrade your weapons skills but havn't had the time or healing pots to bother doing so.

Grab yourself a "poor quality" grey weapon with the lowest dps and highest attack speed you can find (sword, mace, 2H axe, or whatever it is you want to lvl) from the AH and head on over to Oronok's farm.

Then go ahead and strip off all of your gear and go crazy wailing on the endless supply of re-spawing boars. Having a low-cost/grey quality weapon, and not wearing any of your gear means your hits will do very little damage. That means you can endlessly slaughter pigs untill your skill is maxed, and of course all the while getting the "free" healing from Farmer Oronok. Yay no gold wasted on pots or bandages!

Now go lvl up those weapons skills you've been too lazy to do.

They fixed it in 2.4 - the boars no longer give XP or loot. Still good for skinning.
