Hmm... Are there any guides out there for Alliance that are comparable to Aelwyn's? All I hear about Derek's guide is bad reviews.

I do not think there is a good alliance guide out there that is comparable to Aelwyn's. Maybe team Idemise allaince guide. I dont know i have never played alliance and in my opinion it sucks that you have to use metamap to use the ingame guide.
