how to get into the arena money making business
(yes i know some parts of this have been posted, and some is common sense. it still can use a guide.)
NEEDED:
1. initial investment (gold)
2. partner
Buy two 3v3 2000 rating teams. on the bigger servers they are constantly on offer. You lead one, you partner the other.
Spam chat for "selling approx 950 pts for X gold, playing now". each team gets 2 customers.
Now, using vent and deadly boss mods, you queue at same time. (instructions to customers: don't join till told, leave queue if told). All join if you get same arena. You play 5 games, where your team wins 3 and partner's team 2.
Next, either same day or whenever, repeat, getting 4 more customers. Play 5 more games, this time you win 2 and your partner 3.
You are now done, and have collected a fee from 8 total customers. thats 2000 or so each for you and your partner, for LITERALLY a few min work, since 3v3 queues are short and ppl snap up the points.
every weeek your team record will show: 10 games for the week, you at 5-5, and 4 customers (two with 3-2 records, two others with 2-3). same for the other team. In fact you have an extra slot, so if you have a couple friends they can make pts by replacing you/partner as leader in the 2nd set of 5 games.
BOTH your teams will remain at around 2000, forever. You can additionally raise customer personal ratings to 1850 in about a month, if they choose to remain week after week. There is nothing else to do, and you will often get repeat customers leading to 2000+ gold per week for about 1 hour work. if you set a fair price the spots will get snapped up in minutes every time you offer.
EDIT: The beauty of this is the EASE and SPEED. On my server, joining at normal evening hours, 3v3 queues are 1 min, AND you will qet queued correctly about 8/10 times. the other 2 times just drop queue, and wait another min. The system is impossible to screw up, requires no upkeep, no customer care, and no skill or effort beyond spamming trade and joining 10 games that last 30 sec each. there is also no risk, since the demand for arena points is constant and great.
There are lots of other ways to do this, including selling teams, working in the 5v5 bracket, etc. All these ways involve various problems that using 2000 3v3 avoids:
- Obviously both selling teams and playing vs legit oppenents while carrying customers involves you and partners knowing how to pvp at a high level
- working in 5v5 or 2v2 causes issues with queue times, and customer care (its not easy to gather 8 customers to meet at a set time and date). However only a few min of advertising "Selling points playing NOW" invariably gets 4 buyers in a very short time. nothing to schedule, nothing to plan. 3v3 is also the team thats easiest to buy for reasonable price (2v2 is cheaper but bad for money making).
- This is useful for low-key guilds where members arent online much. instead of their usual 1300 rating 10 games on Mon evening, get them to buy the 2 teams - now you are gearing up 12 ppl at 1000 pts per week for ONLY 5 GAMES PLAYED PER PERSON. ie 30 min, AND there is no maintentance.
