[Tip] Protection Paladin - Holy Shield

Well, this won't be much help to many people. Some will probably even say it's common sense, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

So as you probably know, protection is all that and a bag of chips for leveling now. You get holy shield, a shield spike, retribution aura, and blessing of sanctuary up and you do lots of tasty damage with a block.

EXCEPT when you get those ANNOYING ranged mobs.

Well I dunno about you, but I never noticed that you could block arrows and bullets before. Maybe because shield spikes, BoS, nor ret aura do any damage from a ranged attack! Today while grinding in Feralas leveling however, I noticed that Holy Shield does in fact do the damage. You still also get the 30% block rate increase against them, obviously.

Also you can see how this would be handy in pvp - while it won't be devastating, every little bit counts when you're prot.

Actually I've been playing since beta, just I played multiple rogues, a mage and a hunter. (never had a shield)

found this out one time in ulda because i kept being netted then they would run away and shoot at me..its pretty helpful ^^ though when ever i fight a range mob i normally just run up to em =p i love fighting melee people in pvp as prot xD being able to block things behind you is nice too..hah no more rogue prob!
