    Hello, just a question does icy veins work with fire spells?

    Yes it does, and it is well worth it for pve.
    My current talent spec is 2/48/11 with 4 parts Tier 6 and it is pretty sexy.

    2/48/11 is pretty much the new cookie cutter PVE spec for mages.... icy veins is pretty bad ass...

    same, am 2/48/11 with full tier6 gear, really nice talent, i don't miss clearcasting for even one second. =)

    As the talent says it reduces cast time of all spells by 20% not only frost

    I'd imagine it could be good as a fire nuking spec but without a shadowpriest I would surely spec clearcasting. The less casttime on your spells the more mana draining. In a fight over let's say 10 min i'd say clearcasting would be a better choice. Regardingly if you have a shadowpriest, if you do go nuts

    Every 25-man raid should have a Spriest. So get ice veins. Fights are short in karazhan and such so yeah..
