[Macros] For The Lazy Raider -=- Single Button Rotations

The goal of these macros is to create a single button to spam for dps, without needing to watch for ability procs or waiting for cooldowns. The premise behind these macros is something called /changeactionbar which effectively changes your bars from the (default) shift+1 through shift+6. Blizzard had stated that no macro may activate another macro, and "removed the functionality" however with this you can place multiple macros into the relevant spots on your bars and have them chain each other up to 6 times. The following macros will all be labeled by class and spec. You can name the macro's whatever you wish.

For any macro with issues I will list the best fix(es) to the problem.

Major Fix: Almost all macros that have ability-catch (which I will demonstrate later in the video) can be fixed by spamming them faster. I have found ten times per second to be the best amount without causing stability issues. Players without the G# keyboards may want to use an autoclicker program and bind it to a convenient key.

I will be adding more classes and specs over the next week or so, so keep an eye on this thread for your class to show up. I will also be adding a video soon.

    Protection Warrior

    Macro1

    /cast Devastate
    /changeactionbar 2

    Macro2

/castsequence Shockwave, Shield Slam, Shield Slam, Shield Slam
    /changeactionbar 3

    Macro3

    /cast !Revenge
    /changeactionbar 1

    Fury Warrior

Macro1; Set to Bar row 1:

/use 13 (if you have an on use trinket)
    /castsequence Bloodthirst, Raging Blow, Bloodthirst
    /cast Heroic Strike
    /startattack
    /changeactionbar 2

Macro2; Set to Bar row 2, same position as macro1:

    /changeactionbar 3
    /cast Slam
    /stopcasting Slam

Macro3; Set to Bar row 3 (shift 3 by default), same position as macro 1&2:

    /changeactionbar 1
    /cast Death Wish
    /cast Colossus Smash

Fix for downtime: Due to the macro perfection you may find yourself in downtime while everything is on CD and you are waiting for heroic strike with your slowass weapons. This can be resolved by beginning a fight with only your mainhand equipped and then equipping your offhand in 1/2 swing time. Note that math suggests that if the weapons don't have the same swing time they will eventually share a common denominator and you will eventually see downtime, but it will be far less.

    Survival Hunter

    Macro1

    /cast !Steady Shot
    /changeactionbar 2

    Macro2

    /cast !Black Arrow
    /cast !Rapid Fire
    /changeactionbar 3

    Macro3

/cast !Multi-Shot (or Aimed Shot if you prefer)
    /changeactionbar 4

    Macro4

    /cast !Explosive Shot
    /changeactionbar 1

Fix for skills not being used, Steady Shot taking focus: This can be solved easily by mashing the button faster. If you fear for the safety of your keyboard or your hand, I recommend an auto-clicker that clicks approximately 10 times per second.

Assassination Rogue (simple non-bypass)(class too situation dependent)

    Macro1

    /castsequence mutilate, sinister strike, mutilate
/cast [target=focus] !tricks of the trade

    Combat Rogue

    Macro1

    /cast Sinister Strike
    /changeactionbar 2

    Macro2

    /cast Killing Spree
    /changeactionbar 3

    Macro 3

    /cast Adrenaline Rush
    /changeactionbar 4

    Macro4

    /cast Blade Flurry
    /changeactionbar 1

    Elemental Shaman

    Macro1

/castsequence Lava Burst, Lava Burst, Flame Shock
    /cast !Thunderstorm
    /cast !Elemental Mastery
    /changeactionbar 2

    Macro2

    /cast Lightning Bolt
    /changeactionbar 1

Admittedly rogues and feral druids wont be as complex as I can't work in any of the finishing moves outside of castsequences which must be individually timed to a person's haste rating.

Why would you include Sinister Strike in an Mutilate rotation for cast sequence?

/castsequence mutilate, mutilate does not work. It will only ever use one mutilate. I don't know why. You'd honestly be better off playing rogue manually, but I figured i should add something. =/

Can you tell me what macro function (not bannable) you use to push different buttons? Do you need an addon/program/hack such as luaninja (bannable) to run it?

This is not working entirely as I thought it would be. Is it normal that when I spam click the button it will change action bars during casting? And is it also normal that it skips castsequence macros if they also got a /changeactionbar in the macro? This is what I currently have for destro warlocks:

    macro 1

    #showtooltip
    /cast immolate
    /changeactionbar 2

    macro 2

    #showtooltip
    /cast chaos bolt
    /changeactionbar 3

    macro 3

    #showtooltip
    /cast conflagrate
    /changeactionbar 4

    macro 4

    #showtooltip
/castsequence incinerate, incinerate, incinerate, incinerate, incinerate, incinerate
    /changeactionbar 5

    macro 5

    #showtooltip
    /cast conflagrate
    /changeactionbar 6

    macro 6

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence chaos bolt, life tap
    /changeactionbar 1

@Souleater I have to go to work at the moment but check back tonight and you will have your answer. My friend has a lock as well so I may simply just post the lock rotation if there is one. I kinda forgot about this thread for a while cuz of RL stuff, but I'll try to work on some of the other classes this week.

No it's not I just didn't have an Enhance Shammy on hand to use.

@Soul Eater: Sorry man but school is kicking my arse at the moment so I haven't even had time to go to my friend's house down the street where my gaming setup is set up (typing this from home on laptop). Some tips though for you:

Don't repeat spells in two different macros.
Try to castsequence things with a cast time and put instants separately.
You cannot use the macro for channeled spells. (just a note for everyone really)
If spells are not casting click the macro faster. The GCD actually activates fairly fast and prevents you from clicking something in another section of the macro. However the GCD is NOT actually instant and CAN be briefly bypassed, as anyone who did bombing runs would know. 10 times per second should do it. I have no idea if Warden will get mad if you click really really fast. Note the fastest human clickers in the world top out at 15-20.

    Also for space saving:

    Macro 1 should always be

    /castsequence SpellWithCastTime,SWCT,SWCT,etc
    /cast instant

also throw in some ! marks in front of spells (ie /cast !Incinerate) if you want. I am led to believe that they serve the purpose of "if spell is not available to cast at this time, game will not attempt to cast spell" although I honestly have no proof that it works, it doesn't seem to hurt.

Ah kk thx for yer response, well I just wait till you got some kind of fix because the real problem I have is, when I spam click the whole time it changes the bars everytime, even when the cast is not implemented if you know what I mean. For example I press macro 1 the whole time, then it changes to macro 2, but immdiately to macro 3, even when macro 1 is still busy casting.
