Why does nobody think about GS the follwoing way?!:
Gearscore represents the gear you have. So (if you did not buy your char, and most of the people in WoW did not!) you farmed it, so you know how to kill the bosses and so GS CAN represent you skill too.
And lets say there would not be a gearscoreaddon: If your account has shitty gear they wont get you for the group, or are ther NO GEARCHECKS at your servers?!
And if you want to build a (rnd-) group, there are only 2 possibilitys: You either know the ppl and how they play, or you look at the gear they have.
I think gearscore only speed up the gearchecking process.

I'll start off by saying i do not support gearscore in any way, but i still think this:

Honestly, i don't think ruining gearscore will help any bit at all.

IF you actually succeed and it does get ruined, they either fix it or everyone else will turn to the EJ type of addon, dunno if anyone's heard of it, or people will start using the in-game armory or something like that, which is also being made.

Gearscore is here because people dont want to waste time gearing someone up no matter how good they are, they want a smooth run, sometimes you have to see it like the dude RL'ing a 25 man ICC pug, it isnt really easy, and maybe some people have gotten boosted to their gearscore, they have tried the boss, and actually killed it no matter how much they sucked, now if he ****s up a lot, he's simply going to get kicked an theyll find a new one, but people just want smooth runs, if this is how you think it should end up, and people saying that gear doesnt matter shit, hey prove it?

Show us your 25 man heroic kill on LK with 5% buff as paragon did it, because LK is a lot about gear in heroic, i dunno if you don't know that, but it IS.

It's an insane DPS race, which has gotten pretty easy now because of the buffs, but noone in the world except 25 people could down it with that gear, and that buff, because noone could put out that much DPS, or think of the soaking tactic.

This is just how i think about it, gear DOES matter, but not to the grade that people are taking it now, i can see the problem if your main has Light of Dawn, but noone wants to take your alts, beacause you have no achievements, well, show them your character, if they still don't want you, **** them? Put them on ignore.

And seriously people, stop flaming in this thread, it's completely ridicilous.

Gearscore belivers: Please do not start a religious discussion, as it's not allowed as far as I know.

To put it simple: Gearscore = Retards way to communicate with each other.

The game is so easy anyway, it's walk in the park, with this 10% lolbuff, I cba even doing ICC anymore. Some score on your? Lol, what does that have to do with anything? It's purely based on dumb item level value, not gems, not enchants, not speccs, nothing.

If you can't play your class and manage to press 3-5 buttons to optimize your DPS in WoW at the moment, okay, sure, get Gearscore you'll please other bad players using it. But hey! At least you get to farm your 4/12 eh? LOL
