omfg Hackingmac, you soo ass****ed yourself there, haha
Beast mastery.
this
Depending on the fight, myself and another 50/21 BM hunter are always the top the DPS charts, or pushing a close second or third
BM hunters are OP at the moment, come 3.0.8, not so much. But right now, yes. I have 4276ap selfbuffed right now, a 33.37% crit rating selfbuffed. Pop my trinket and Call of the Wild and I have 5136ap.
for now, 50/21 is the best imo. but after 3.0.8 we can expect MM to be better, since they will nerf the BW/readiness, and steady shot will get a huge nerf
could u show me which talent i should put it in exactley
I havent played the expantion yet, but in TBC, it was ALL Beastmastery, and later if you had enough agility, then maybe Marks.
World of Warcraft Europe -> Talents
That's the right 50/21 build, and you didn't link your build - you linked the wrong one, this one will be the easy top dps meters spec untill patch 3.0.8 at which bm will get awesomely nerfed and survival is reciving some godlike buff.
Beast Mastery for raiding i think
Whatever you like most.
I find survival to be the best spec for me, even though most think it's crap. I've tried BM and MM but i find survival most fun and fitting my playstyle.
Most hunters have BM, but i saw MS hunter with 4,5k dps
My talent tree is mostly MM, Though a friend of mine is BM, and she does 4.6k DPS without even trying, i do 3600 dps. Normally.
The OP BM Spec
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
In this spec my cat and I pulled 6k DPS on Patchwerk in 25 man (the ultimate tank and spank fight). My cat did 3.1k and I did 2.9k (yes my pet out dpses me and most other players).
I prefer this spec over a the traditional 50/21 readiness spec because of the additional dps it gives to my cat. The 2 extra points into cobra strikes really makes a difference, particularly in fights like Loatheb where your crit gets pumped to around 80-90%.
The glyphs I use are:
- Glyph of Beastial Wrath (-20 seconds to your BW cooldown)
- Glyph of Steady Shot (+10% damage to steady shot while your target is affected by serpent sting, which is why I have 3 points into improved stings)
- Glyph of Improved Aspect of the Hawk (an additional 6% haste when your improved aspect of the hawk procs, which is very often)
Stats/Gear
In terms of stats you should aim for Hit > Attack Power > Agility > Int > Rest (Haste is a wasted stat for BM hunters because of Serpent's Swiftness)
A hunter's hit cap is at 8%. So you should prioritise getting 7% hit (+1% from focused aim). Once you have reached the hitcap, stack on attack power gems/enchants.
My BM hunter has the hit cap, 4.2k attack power and 27% crit self buffed.
Macros/Shot Rotation
Serpent Sting > Steady Shot spam (refresh serpent sting when it runs out)
A really simple steady shot macros for those who can't be bothered sending their pets to attack manually.
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/cast Steady Shot
/petattack
All in 1 BW Macro
#showtooltip Bestial Wrath
/cast Bestial Wrath
/cast Killl Command
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Heart of the Phoenix
/use (Name of Trinket)
You may need to press this macro more than once because of the global cooldown on some of the skills (Such as BW).
The reason why I like to incorporate Kill Command into the Bestial Wrath macro is because you do more damage that way.
For example if your pet did 1k crit without any skills:
With Kill Command alone, your pet will do a 1.6k crit (60% more damage on the first strike) meaning an additional 600 damage.
However with Bestial Wrath active, that 1k crit will become a 1.5k crit.
Along with Kill Command this will do a 2.4k crit. Meaning that Kill Command in this instance does 900 damage, 300 more than if you did not use Bestial Wrath.
My cat's talents are Pet Calculator - Wowhead
I use this because there are a number of fights where your pet is going to die (Heigan the Unclean is a prime example). However if you are confident that your pet will not die, then move that point from Heart of the Phoenix into Call of the Wild.
Hope you guys find this useful. I'll write a survival hunter spec once 3.08 comes out.
