Auto-cast using an addon, is it possible?

ok well, seeing that i dont have enough rep to search the site to find a post like this, and none of the displayed ones have nothing to do with what im asking...
ill put up question #1:

Is there a post about creating an auto-cast addon, if so can you link it plz.

this question only applys if the first is answered with a no

Is it possible to create an addon that casts a spell repeatedly within a specified time limit (by player) with any specified cast-able spell (like some healing/attacking spell or a buff, no random ass spell that does nothing useful)
ideas for the addon:

• can change the # of max spells to be auto-cast
• make each individual class have its own load button to decrease the cashe size, or make it auto load the players class when character is accessed
• casts buffs/de-buffs on a target specified in the addon like GBoK on yourself every 30 mins or so, or regrowth on your tank every 30 seconds, like ya know... so you can concentrate on other, more important things... like your mana levels... or your X-box360/PS3... or your GF (yea right xD)

i think its a good idea..., worth exploring

addons may not cast spells of their own accord. Period.

some of these things could be done with an auto-it macro + a global hotkey. i don't think it's very useful though. imagine casting holy light while your script tries to rebuff kings.

hm it would be great to have something like this but if you don`t want to fight a boss in raid... jst make a glider profile with 2 way points and just shoot the boss 1 time and than run the profile =P
