Best class to level with?

For speed i'd say one of the classes able to aoe grind would be tops (frost mage/prot pally/unholy dk) followed by the pet classes (any lock/bm hunter) and then the low downtime classes (combat rogue/shammy with mana spring/ret pally/blood dk/hunter other then bm/feral druid).

As for the fun factor as long as you stay away from the classes that don't have a "tried and true" ability rotation you should be ok. For example I leveled my rogue as combat although it was much more fun as Sub. I will however say that ALL leveling gets boring so don't worry if your class is boring to level (ie hunter) because the fun of the game really comes AFTER you are done leveling.

As a side note the class that was the most fun to LEVEL with was warlock. Not only do you have a multitude of spells to keep it fresh but you rarely get hit (pet) and you can easily take on 2-3 mobs of your level at a time. PLUS it's a caster class so it's not gear dependent!

I have to say Warlock, I can solo group quest and never worry about dying. I can take on mobs of 15 with metamorphisis and sacrifice, also soul stone is very convenient.

fast: hunter (bm - self healing pet is teh shit!), mage (frost/aoe), warlock (whatever), dk (even starts at 55 as u know, blood -> self heal good dps, unholy -> aoe)

I enjoyed lvling as holy priest xD specc 5/5 spirit tap and rest holy, pew pew with wand and smite spam, u never have to drink as long as u go for only int and spirit

Id say warlock, no downtime. Havnt tryed a hunter, but i heard its the same.

The best class to level it is the class which you like, can play with it, and you have fun with it.

Look at me and my rogue, for instance. Most people get bored from leveling a rogue, but I don't.

Also, patch 3.2.0 - Mounts will cost 4 gold and will be available at level 20. That's for 60% mounts. 100% mounts will cost 40 gold and will be available at level 40.

So leveling is being buffed a lot. I promise you, that if you play the class you like, you will not get bored, and will level fast.

I dunno why people are saying paladin, yes you get the shields, but the damage and depth early on is really low. Untill you are 60, you will get bored pretty quick.

Warlock and hunter are the fastest, probably also the easiest.

druid rulz in leveling fast if u know to use it the right way....if u go feral than with a good starting gear you can fast rule mobs 4 levels above you! if u go balance spec then roots and startfire will do the job. After ou get the treants spec every three minutes u can do a 10 levels higher mob

I can take 4 mobs like 3 lvls above me with my rogue if they are humanoid.


Sap one, start nuking the other one while the other three come to attack you, blind one of the two, kill the two and kill the third then restealth and nuke the fourth.


If you can actually play a rogue then you won't die. Most people die from this.


If you killed two mobs but are about to die just vanish, sap one, stunlock the other, restealth, stunlock the last.
