    Endgame Priest Raiding specs

    This builds are based on my experience in raiding and my playing style, i think all Priest talent trees are useful when raiding if handled correctly.


    This build is from the holy tree, holy tree is the most used by a priest because they were meant to be healers, during the build i find the problem of choosing Circle of healing or adding the 2% of mana of Mental strength , i choose Mental strength because i don't usually heal multiple targets.

    Holy Priest healing build


    In this build you are meant to be a damage dealer and at the same time you help other spellcasters specially warlocks because of the life and mana regeneration you provide if you make a decent amount of spell damage.

    Shadowpriest raiding build

    The discipline tree is mostly made to give better buffs and has spells like power infusion and pain suppression when you are in a hard situation, i have used this tree mostly to heal and not using high amount of mana so i don't know how good it is for spell damage, after using 42 points in discipline i leave open 19 point to use in the holy or shadow tree depending of what role you want to take.

    in your Holy, if you are not getting CoH then you need to get Divine Spirit, 2% mana isn't nothing compared to the regan and +spirit to all the other healers.

    Updated your shadow spec to make it worthwhile.

    in discipline you had wand spec over unbreakable will. you shouldn't ever need to wand in a raid, so these points are wasted. If you resist a fear you can keep DPSing.

    Spirit tap vs blackout is oft debated. Imo as a tank alt/spriest main blackout can annoy the tits off a tank. Spirit tap helps with mana regeneration during trash pulls. neither are particularly good, but blackout is the more annoying to have.

    Not maxing out shadow affinity and shadow focus is just stupid. Shadow Focus can be changed to 4/5 once you get alot of hit gear, but this isnt something to aim for, +hit will come when you get alot of your first priority which is +shadow damage. Shadow Affinity is excellent, 8% less threat = 8% more Dps, max this out in all raiding builds.

    4/5 improved MB is enough until you get enough haste to cut your Mind Flays by 0.25 seconds each, or if you have fights where you move around alot.

    4/5 shadow weaving does the job just as well as 5/5, save a point here.

    2/2 shadow reach. Mind flays range is annoying as hell, casters are at a distance for a reason, take these points to help out, and to have a bit more leeway in certain fights.

    2/2 improved VE. Waste of points. really, don't bother with this. your VE healing is mostly over heal anyways, and any extra healing done by it either goes to waste (over healing) or just causes unneeded threat (actual healing)

    The reast of the shadow build is fine.
