If any lawyers have contacted you yet, then I doubt that he's actually going to sue you... maybe he's going to call his lawyer on Sunday? ...
Just give him back the account. After, change your name, emails, aim, msn, home address, phone number, and just hope he doesn't remember your mother's CC Name and or w.e !
Talk to your own lawyer. Quit asking a forum full of kids who have no ****ing idea what they're talking about. I don't know Danish civil law procedures. The Scams Help section forum-goers do not know Danish civil law procedures. Your father's lawyer does. Talk to him. Call him, email him, do whatever you need to do.

Well first of all, If this did go to Court, Blizz would ban the account, and make you pay back the 800 Euros, so its a lose lose situation for you
Give the damn thing back
Real life money is serious business. Freaking 800 euros at this economical crisis is huge. Don't listen to noone - if You feel that this is bullshit, don't do anything. But if You have the bad feeling, give it back.
My 2 cents.
/wave at Elite.
Regardless, You have the account and all the "Official" information. and as far as Blizz is concerned. You ARE the owner of the property.
Until you get contacted by someone of "importance" I would just celebrate scamming 800 euros :P ..
Most lawyers arn't going to want anything to do with a silly "Electronic property" suit for 800 euros.

Everyone who says this is dead wrong. It is intellectual property theft and you CAN be prosecuted for it. If you bought his account with your mom's Credit Card, it's probably in your best interest to give it back. I have been scamming for about a year now and know a lot about the legalities involved. Morally, you shouldn't give a shit. Logically, you should give it back. It isn't hard to sue someone if you have their full name and billing address. You can say, "it's just a game lol! its against blizzards terms of use to sell the account anyway so it's not illegal!" No. It is illegal and the judges won't just "laugh" at a case like this. Money is a serious thing and if there's enough of it, people will do what it takes to get it back once they're wronged.
Just because something is intangible doesn't mean it doesn't have value, and if you steal something of value and are caught, it is theft and you can bet your ass you're going to be looking at some serious charges.
I strongly suggest you return the account.
Seriously this thread needs to grow a pair lets look at this in worst case scenario...
You have to give they guy his money back before you end up in court if he does serve you... in an even worse case the account is banned from blizzard for account trading assuming international authorities are contacted.
Thats the worse case scenario, now im not familiar with laws in Denmark but in Canada/Us credit card fraud is not investigated by even local authorities unless the amount is over 2 grand police have bigger and better things to do then chase down some kiddie who scams people over wow. Come on people get real your scaring the dam kid.
Now something you do have to be worried about is the guy coming to your house beating you up for his 800 euros and pounding your mom because it was her credit cardso if he does have you address i'd be a little worried.
Thanks for all the replies - we'll see what happens later on today![]()
