Scammed Credit card information

The cost of investigating someone is significantly far lower then you estimate. And companies do indeed care about their money, that is why an investigation is conducted into every incident of credit card fraud. They dont like losing money and they will do whatever they can to stop their losses. As to the insurance companies they too love their money and obviously wont keep reimbursing everyone forever. It has to stop somewhere and all of the major credit card companies have taken steps to prevent fraud, when someone manages to slip by they investigate to find out how and they make sure they get prosecuted.

As to the cost of an investigation how much would you have to pay someone to sit at a desk contacting online retailers, checking IP's, getting tracking numbers for packages etc etc.
