Introduction

Since my other thread got deleted and I haven’t saved it in my computer, I remake it. But I wasn’t really happy about my other thread so it might be something different.
So you are someone who wants to start scamming but have no idea where or how? Then you are at the right place. I will explain many scams and tell you where to start.
First you’ll have to think about what do you want to scam. Are you looking for gold on your server? For a new account? For the fun? For the cash (by selling the scammed accounts)? I posted some links but there are many more guides.
I’ve made a small list of the scam types:

- In-game scam
- Phishing scam
- Account buy/sell/trade scam
- Other scams

The in-game scam

What you will need is a trial accounts and sometimes a normal account with time on it, it depends on what scam. This is because with a trial accounts as example, you can’t retrieve post. The most in-game scams will scam gold. But there are some scam which provides you with the account details of the victim, if it works. Like the DND scam, where you trick people with the use of/dnd. The in-game scams are bannable
I will explain short some of the in-game scams.

1. The TCG scam

With the TCG scam you trick people with the Trading Card game code. You’ll find a random person anywhere in the game and tell him you sell the TCG reward, the riding turtle.
It’s a very simple scam, so it’s easy to start with. But it’s getting known by many people. So be fast with this scam!

2. The DnD scam

This is very bannable, so watch out. With the DnD scam you will trick players with the DnD function. You tell them that /dnd is a special function. Then you will tell them like: ,,Hey did you registered for the newspaper yet? Use /dnd ’’.
It requires a normal WoW account and social skills.

3. The Backspace scam

With the backspace scam you change the amount of gold offered for an item with a nice trick. You’ll have to be quick. If it fails the first time, jus t try again. You will get better and better. This scam also requires a WoW account with some cash on it.

4. The ‘’pretend gm’’ scam

If you get caught with this scam, you are banned, so watch out. It requires social skills and decent English. You pretend as a gm. How it works:

The phishing scam

Phishing is using fake websites to get peoples information. To get it WoW related, we use a fake login or a beta signup. Till someone comes with something new of course. It’s VERY easy to learn it. So if you want to start scamming just for getting gold off accounts and making fun, I recommend this.

As example: You make a fake login made by someone. You send emails with a fake email sender so it looks like Blizzard sent them. In the email you explain that there information is changed or whatever, but with a link to the login. The login looks exactly like WoW’s. So when people enter there username + pass it will get logged and they are send to the real WoW login. So if they think: Wtf? And they look at the address bar, it’s just the real login.
You also got the beta signup. It has a lower success rate but higher profit. With the fake login you will only get username + password and with the wotlk beta signup you will get everything, if it works.

I personally don’t recommend to start phishing, but if you go phishing you should try the beta signup or you won’t get any profit.

The account buy/sell/trade scam

The most popular of all the scams. Never noticed any scammers while trying to sell your account? Now we are going to do it. You got many ways, giving them fake info, giving them a fake screen, posing as a company etc. When you use this scam, you will get a very high profit, but you need some skills, like social. You have to talk like you are a noob, but without acting nervous. You don’t want them to get suspicious. Also, you’ll have to let them lead. Do not rush. These are some tips. But if you want to learn the account scam, you’ll need to follow some guides so you know what you are doing.

Other scams

With other scams I mean scams who doesn’t belong to any of the three above. Like sending emails around. With sending emails around you use (most of the time) a fake mailer. The email looks EXACTLY like Blizzard’s. People will think it’s from Blizzard and fall for it.

Tips and Tricks

Of course there are some tips. I will list them:

- NEVER use your main account while ingame scamming. You risk your account.

- Always scam anonymously, you never know with who you are dealing with. Nolixz wrote a very nice guide about it, read it here: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-sc...important.html

- If it doesn’t work, keep trying! If you fail at your first scams, it doesn’t matter. When I started scamming I failed lots of time but I kept trying.

- When you know something to add to one of the scam and if it’s not posted yet, POST it! When you post things you will get feedback and It might get very popular! But remember using the search button.

- Look at all the guides around here. MMOwned is full of guides which are only posted here by creative people.
